This song reminds me of conflicted emotions that I get at times.
Picture this, you've fallen head-over heels for someone. You believe that this person and you could have a happy life together. You're best friends and nothing could ever change that.
Until, you notice that this person has also fallen in love, but it's not you they stare at. Their starry eyes are gazing at someone else in particular. So you just learn to accept it because it seems that they're happier that way. And despite the countless times you'd convinced yourself of a little glance or a moment that indicated that they loved you, you suddenly realize that none of that mattered. Because they actually love someone else.
The thing is, you have to move, and you won't be seeing them anymore, because you're going to a whole different state. However, you didn't really realize this completely.
I tried, I texted this person almost every other day, my heart would skip a beat, and I looked for hidden meanings in every little thing. However, we started to talk less and less.
