Biography
Formed in 1995 in Austin TX, Lower Class Brats set out to create music unlike anything else in their city. A mixture of Punk, Oi!, 70s Glam and straight ahead rock and roll merged with the theatric imagery of A Clockwork Orange. After six months of writing and rehearsals the band began to perform and released a demo cassette. A year later the band's first full length “Rather Be Hated Than Ignored” was released on GMM records and became the soundtrack for a fanbase now known as the “LCB Army”.
The recorded history of five full-length LPs, thirteen 7” EPs and three different compilation LPs under their belts. Provides testament to the band's reputation that they are a group that works as hard as they play. All while performing worldwide across the US, Canada, UK, Europe and Asia.
LCB members- Bones (vox), Marty Volume (guitar), Ron Conflict (bass), Zed (guitar) and Nick Brat (drums) continue to record and perform after a 20+ year history. Taking great care that every live show is more than "just another gig" and a night for those in attendance to cut loose, forget their daily woes and sing, scream and shout along.
Molotov
Lower Class Brats Lyrics

With a molotov in my hand
Don't you think
It's time to take a stand?
CH: What's your price to be free
Why can't you open your eyes and fucking see
Why do you sit there and cry
Live your fucking lie
It's not too late
To stop this oppressive state
You've signed and sealed
Your own fucking fate
CH: What's your price to be free
Why can't you open your eyes and fucking see
Why do you sit there and cry
How long are you gonna
Live your fucking lie
They've torn you apart
With their metal claws
They've pissed in your wounds
And bound you by the laws
CH: What's your price to be free
Why can't you open your eyes and fucking see
Why do you sit there and cry
How long are you gonna
Live your fucking lie
In the song "Molotov" by Lower Class Brats, the lyrics speak to the idea of revolution and fighting against oppression. The opening lines of "Here I sit with a molotov in my hand" suggest the singer's readiness to take action and fight for their beliefs. They question why others aren't doing the same, asking "Don't you think it's time to take a stand?" The repetition of the chorus highlights the frustration the singer has with those who aren't actively fighting for their freedom. The lines "Why do you sit there and cry/How long are you gonna/Live your fucking lie" express the idea that those who aren't willing to fight for their rights are living a lie, pretending that everything is okay when it's not.
The lyrics also touch on the idea of the government oppressing the people. The lines "It's not too late/To stop this oppressive state/You've signed and sealed/Your own fucking fate" suggest that the government is using their power to oppress the people and that it's the responsibility of the people to band together and fight against this oppression. The chorus again highlights the frustration with those who are complacent and not willing to take a stand.
Overall, the lyrics of "Molotov" convey a powerful message of revolution, standing up to oppression, and fighting for freedom. It's a call to action for those who are not willing to just sit back and accept the status quo.
