He's become known for posting his original music and covers of songs from films, video games, and anime. Lucas was born in Margate, England and raised in London. He has four brothers and four sisters.

He is a completely self-taught pianist and composer. He played both bass and guitar for various bands in college. He studied English literature, history, music and piano performance at University.

He opened his YouTube channel in June of 2012 with the video "Metal Gear Solid - The Best Is Yet To Come Piano (End Credits)." Some of his most popular YouTube videos, including "Sad Piano Music - Isolation (Original Composition)" and "Disney Collection | Piano & Orchestra | Vol. 1", have earned more than 1 million views.

You know, you made a great cover even without watching Clannad and that's really great and I think you'd be able even more amazing covers on Clannad OSTs if you actually watch it. Try it and you won't regret it. It's one of those anime that actually do have a soul. And it really has an ability to make everyone who watches it better. Even if a little bit but still it does. P.S. It'd be really great if you make a cover of Dango Daikazoku or Chiisana te no hira!

Clannad was the first anime I ever watched. After finishing season 1 and the after story, I did some research and found that it was for a while rated as the second saddest anime ever made up until that point. It made me think, what a way to come into the world of anime 😥.

+Lucas King I wasn't either at first. It's a rather slow anime, but it is really good!
I wasn't in to it at first, but I stuck through it and now it's my favorite anime. You just have to give it time. :3

I think the slow build-up actually made you feel more emotion because you got closer to the characters.

+Lucas King I found the original CLANNAD very hard to get into, the style is very old and the sound quality was quite poor in my opinion. But CLANNAD After Story, that's a whooooole 'nother ball park there. After Story is A-mazing. I highly recommend at least trying to get through After Story if you can't click with the original o3o/

+Mur M I agree. Although I do love Clannad as well, I found the After Story a lot easier to get into. Probably because there was slow character development in Clannad, and in After Story we know all about the characters and stuff.

I felt like the slow character development made it ten times better though. :)

It's okay to cry Bob. I am a 65 year old man. Yes, even old people can be otakus and love anime :) While I never served in the military, I don't think that showing emotion makes either of us less manly. It simply reveals our own natural humanity. Both my wife and I were crying like babies while watching Clannad and Clannad After Story. A most beautiful and soul-wrenching story that not only rips your heart out, but give us a reason to dare to hope for the future. In my eyes, you are more of a man than most because you are brave enough to admit that you have emotions. Most tough guys don’t have the guts to do that. Bravo Bob :)
