Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Luciano's song "Messenger" serve as a reminder of his purpose in life. He believes that he has been sent by Jah as a messenger to teach the youth about the importance of roots and culture, and to remind them to never forget Jah. Luciano sings about the current state of society where people forget their Creator and worship women, guns, and sin. He argues that there is a time and place for everything and calls on people to remember the likes of Jonah and Elijah, Martin Luther King, Marcus Garvey and others who dedicated their lives to teaching others about the importance of living a righteous life.

Luciano maintains that he is not here to turn wood and stone but to teach the youth about Jah and their roots. He urges them to remember that this place is not their home and to prepare to move on. Through his lyrics, Luciano highlights the message of love, unity, and spirituality, which he believes are the fundamental aspects of life. "Messenger" serves to motivate and inspire people to live a righteous and purpose-driven life.

As a young man miself , I found myself gravitating towards the real elements of reggae, Jamaica original reggae, these songs from these great legends living and past seems to just carry authenticity and sensible message. Luciano...., I grew up while he was doing his thing but never paid much attention, but now my ears n eyes have been opened to the best of sounds , Reggae music. Luciano is a legend within the leagues of the late Bob Marley . Much respect , I love the music my home Jamaica πŸ‡―πŸ‡² produces.
