Maybe this schism is just a symptom
Perhaps the division we see now is a sign of a larger problem brewing in society.

This divide may have been caused by people not listening to each other.

To their own collapse
Our world may be on the brink of collapse and we are ignoring the signs.

Even if this story
Although this situation may seem dramatic and graphic,

Is overwrought and gory
It is not just an exaggerated tale of horror.

It's not a fable, it's not an allegory
It is not a fictional story nor an extended metaphor to teach a moral lesson.

No cautionary tale, no momento mori
And it does not serve as a warning or reminder of our mortality.

Or a vague "perhaps"
There is no uncertainty about the gravity of the situation.

Am I just a version of the end of days?
Could this be the bleak ending of human civilization?

Am I just an effect of a modern phase?
Or is this just a common result of a new era?

Am I just the end point of the grand parade?
Is this the final act of the human story?

Should we be afraid?
Are we right to fear what could happen next?

Maybe you've been slaughtered, maybe you've been kissed
It doesn't matter if you have been hurt before or have experienced good things, because in this situation nothing truly matters.

Either way means nothing, I simply don't exist
Our current situation is so dire, it doesn't even feel like we truly exist anymore or that anything we do matters.

Look at what's been done here, judge it how you wish
We can examine how we've arrived at this point and form our own opinions.

I am all alone here, I am a solipsis
Despite being in a world with others, it may feel as though we are isolated and alone and that nothing exists beyond our own mind.

This is what we come to, what we have become
Our world has led us to a point where we can feel like nothing more than a shell of our former selves.

I am not a person known to anyone
We can feel disconnected and unknown by those around us.

All the doors are tried and tested
We have exhausted all possible options to fix our problems.

Know that this is not an exit
Despite feeling like there is no escape from our problems, we must continue to search for solutions.

None of this exists for me
The chaotic world we find ourselves in feels like it doesn't truly exist to us anymore.

This is all a fantasy
Our current situation is so dystopian, it can feel like it's all just a dream or an illusion.

There is no future here
We may feel like the future is bleak or inaccessible in this present state.

There is no history
We may also feel like there is no point in looking back at history or drawing lessons from it since we're already beyond the point of no return.

It's not reality
Our current reality feels so twisted and distorted it can be hard to accept it as truth.

There is no consistency
Our world feels like it's in constant flux, with no end or stabilization in sight.

There's only entropy
Chaos and disorder feel like the only constants in our world.

And even though I've tried and tested
Despite our efforts to change things for the better, we may not have been successful yet.

I know that this is not an exit now
But we must remain hopeful and know that there will be a way out of our current plight.
