Heartbroken and frustrated
Hard to get around without your love
Feeling, feeling,
Tired of this endless reeling
Hard to get around without your love
But I’m trying to see light
Every time you come around again
I only want to say goodbye
Every time you say you’re leaving again
I want you back just like my
Want you back just like my
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
I toss you, throw you
Still you come back now don’t you
Hard to get around without your love
I told you
It won’t do
So why do I have to hold you
Hard to get around, love
I’m immune to the symptoms of romantic affliction
But I’m trying to see light
Every time I come around again
I only want to say goodbye
Every time you say you’re leaving again
I want you back just like my
Want you back just like my
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
So I went to the doctor
Took a look at my heart
He said we can’t be together
But never to get too far apart
Never to get too far apart
(Tap dance solo)
Every time you come around again
I only want to say goodbye
Every time you say you’re leaving again
I want you back just like my
Want you back just like my
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
I want you back just like my
Boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
Boom boom boomerang
Mmmhmm and don’t come back!
Lucy Schwartz's song "Boomerang" speaks of someone who is heartbroken and frustrated after a failed romantic relationship. The lyrics "Waiting, waiting, heartbroken and frustrated / Hard to get around without your love" depict the pain the person is experiencing. Despite trying to move on and being immune to the symptoms of romantic affliction, they still find it hard to resist the person who keeps coming back to their life. Every time the person tries to leave, the singer wants them back just like a boomerang - which is thrown and comes back to the person who tossed it.
The song talks about the struggle to quit someone who keeps coming back, as depicted in the lyrics "Every time you come around again, I only want to say goodbye / Every time you say you're leaving again, I want you back just like my boomerang". The singer even goes to a doctor to get their heart checked, and the doctor advises them to never get too far apart from their lover, emphasizing the difficulty of quitting someone.
"Boomerang" presents a relatable situation in romantic relationships where one person can't seem to quit the other, despite their best efforts. The lyrics, combined with Schwartz's heartwarming voice and the tapping beat, make for an emotional and catchy ballad.

Perfect song for the end of a weird, crazy, yet wonderful, season of one of the greatest shows ever created.

Not the end but I guess you already know that by now

Precisely !!!!! But the remixed version and season 5 were really well done. Certainly, not like the first 3 incredible seasons, but fun nonetheless.

When George Michael punched his dad on the face and then the screen went black and credits start rolling. The minute the song starts, I can really sense that the song totally fit the dynamic of the family's relationship. They hate each other but they can't live without each other. Also that Michael keeps returning to the family like a boomerang.

My jaw dropped when George Michael punched his father in the face like that. I know to some, it was a hilarious scene but I was CRUSHED. I binge watched the entire show on Netflix in a span of a week and seeing Michael and George Michael's relationship was amazing. They really seemed to care and love each other. Seeing that punch broke my heart. I'm nervous but excited for season 5.
