Oppitz’s playing is full of energy and rhythmic drive: his third movement in particular is wonderful, played in unabashed concertante style, while the first is surprisingly intense. Lortie’s playing is full of warmth and detail: his playing in the slow movement is revelatory, filled with delicate inflections, and the relatively measured maestoto approach to the last movement is quite persuasive: the dynamic control he achieves is pretty remarkable, as is the clarity in the denser passages.

Hi Ashish! I've watched many videos of you and I think they're very good and informative. I just came to your channel to see which sonata I'll play this year (Im in 6th degree in conservatorium). Anyway, I haven't decided which sonata I'll play yet but my question is what program do you use to make this sort of videos, with the sheet and music. Thanks and keep sharing!

Those three notes at the beginning is just so incredibly beautiful.. Its simple, yet I cant let it go from my head

@PaulVinonaama

It's called "horn fifths" and was "invented" much before Beethoven... (On the other hand, I don't know whether B. was the first to use the VI chord [c minor] there.)

Listen to Dax - Dear Alcohol - similar progression.

That would require me to listen to Dax
