Da América do Sul me guia
Trago uma mala de mão
Dentro uma oração, um adeus
Eu sou um corpo, um ser, um corpo só
Tem cor, tem corte
E a história do meu lugar, ô
Sou minha própria sorte
Atravessei o mar, um sol
Da América do Sul me guia
Trago uma mala de mão
Dentro uma oração, um adeus
Eu sou um corpo, um ser, um corpo só
Tem cor, tem corte
E a história do meu lugar, ô
Eu sou a minha própria embarcação
Sou minha própria sorte
Je suis ici, ainda que não queiram, não
Je suis ici, ainda que eu não queira mais
Je suis ici, agora
Cada rua dessa cidade cinza
Sou eu
Olhares brancos me fitam
Há perigo nas esquinas
E eu falo mais de três línguas
E a palavra amor, cadê?
E a palavra amor, cadê?
Je suis ici, ainda que não queiram, não, ô
Je suis ici, ainda que eu não queira mais
Je suis ici, agora
Je suis ici, e a palavra amor, cadê?
Je suis ici, e a palavra amor, cadê?
Je suis ici, e a palavra amor, cadê?
Je suis ici, e a palavra amor, cadê?
E a palavra amor, cadê?
E a palavra amor, cadê?
E a palavra amor, cadê?
E a palavra amor...
Luedji Luna's "Um Corpo no Mundo" is a song about the journey of a person who has crossed the ocean to a new world. The singer is carrying a small bag with a prayer and a farewell inside. They describe themselves as a body, an entity with a color and cut, and the history of their place. They are their own vessel and their own luck. The South American sun guides them in their new home, where the streets and people are grey and the corners are dangerous. Despite feeling like they don't belong, they declare that they are here - in the present - and ask where the word love has gone.
The lyrics reflect the experiences of many immigrants who leave behind their homes to start anew. The singer's identity is rooted in their body and history, and they are navigating a new world alone. They are carrying a prayer and a goodbye, suggesting a sense of longing and sadness for what they left behind. Their declaration of being their own vessel and their own luck carries connotations of self-reliance and the notion that one must rely on oneself in the face of adversity. The questions about the absence of love suggest a sense of longing and isolation, despite being surrounded by people who may not understand them.
