Une fée, c'est très normal
Peut faire d'une pauvrette
La reine du bal
Allez-y, mesdemoiselles
Vous pouvez le faire aussi
Puisque l'on vous appelle
Les fées de Paris
Miracle de Paris, Paris, Paris
Des doigts qui voltigent
Une robe fleurie, fleurie, fleurie
Miracle charmant
Le monde entier sourit, sourit, sourit
Devant ce prodige
Mais n'a jamais compris, compris, compris
Pourquoi ni comment
Une aiguille et du fil
Un sourire et voici
Le miracle de Paris
Comme leur ami Gavroche
La grisette et l'étudiant
Sans avoir un sou en poche
S'en vont en chantant
Car le bonheur qui musarde
Au-dessus des vieux toits gris
A choisi leur mansarde
Pour faire son nid
{Chœurs:}
Miracle de Paris, Paris, Paris
Des doigts qui voltigent
Une robe fleurie, fleurie, fleurie
Miracle charmant
Miracle de Paris, Paris, Paris
L'amour qui voltige
La chanson qui fleurit, fleurit, fleurit
Au fond d'une cour
Tant de minois jolis, jolis, jolis
Donnent le vertige
Que l'on entend « Chéri, chéri, chéri »
Dans tous les faubourgs
{x2:}
Une valse, un baiser
Un sourire et voici
Le miracle de Paris !
The lyrics of "Miracle de Paris" by Luis Mariano tell the story of the enchanting and magical atmosphere of Paris. The song opens with the image of a fairy who can transform a poor girl into a queen of the ball with just a wand, which is a nod to the mythology and romance of the city. The chorus repeats "Miracle de Paris" several times, suggesting that the city itself is a miracle, and the little things that happen here can transform people's lives in unexpected ways.
The song also highlights the theme of happiness and hope. The characters in the song, including Gavroche, a grisette (a working-class woman of Paris) and an student, don't have much money but are singing and performing with joy. The lyrics state that happiness wanders above the old gray rooftops and finds its nest in the humble abodes of people with good hearts. The chorus sings that love and music are nourished in the corners of the city and the faces of the pretty people can make one dizzy.
Overall, "Miracle de Paris" celebrates the beauty, magic, and wonder of Paris and its people. It reminds us that happiness can be found in the little things, and the city itself can work miracles.

Prachtige poëtische tekst. Jammer genoeg een beetje te snel om alles te volgen. Monsieur Mariano op zijn best.
