Despite recording only in Spanish, he continued to be the best selling Latin artist in the 1990s, and was credited for popularizing the bolero genre into the mainstream market. He has sold around 60 million records worldwide, making him one of the best-selling Latin music artists.
Latin pop music, along with his personal life and showmanship on stage, has made Luis Miguel popular for nearly his entire career, which started in Mexico in 1982. Having won his first Grammy Award at the age of fourteen for his duet "Me Gustas Tal Como Eres" with Sheena Easton, he is the youngest male artist in music history to have received this accolade. In 1991, the RIAA recognized the high sales for his 1991 album Romance, itself being the third best-selling music album in Mexico, and one of the best-selling Spanish language albums of all time. He was the first Latin artist to have been awarded two Platinum certified Spanish-language albums in the United States with ‘‘Romance’’ and ‘‘Segundo Romance’’ the latter earning him 35 platinum records throughout Central and South America. He is also recognized by Billboard, as the artist with the most top 10 hits on the Billboard's Hot Latin Songs chart. His album Complices was released in 2008 and peaked at No.10 on the Billboard 200; it is the highest position a fully Spanish composed album has reached. His most recent album ¡México Por Siempre! was released in 2017, and it earned him his second No. 1 on the Billboard Regional Mexican Albums and achieved double platinum status.
Luis Miguel is also known for his high-grossing live performances. He is the first-highest grossing Latin touring artist since Boxscore began tracking touring data in 1990, with a towering total of $278.5 million. With the Luis Miguel Tour, which took place in 2010, he visited 22 countries in North America, South America and Europe, where he performed in a three-year span with a total of 223 shows all over the world, making it the longest and highest-grossing tour ever made by a Latin artist. He also holds the record for the most consecutive presentations in the Auditorio Nacional (National Auditorium) with a total of 30 consecutive concerts as well as the record for the most presentations in the same venue with a total of 258 concerts.
Noi ragazzi di oggi

Con tutto il mondo davanti a noi
Viviamo nel sogno di poi
Noi, siamo diversi ma tutti uguali
Abbiam bisogno di un paio d'ali
E stimoli eccezionali
Puoi farci piangere
Ma non puoi farci cedere
Puoi non comprendere
Qualcuno ci può offendere
Noi, noi sappiamo in cosa credere
Devi venire con noi
Siamo i ragazzi di oggi noi
Dai coloriamo questa città
E poi vedrai che ti piacerà
Siamo noi
Siamo i ragazzi di oggi noi
I veri amici che tu non hai
E tutti insieme si può cantare
Ragazzi di oggi
Ragazzi di oggi, noi
Noi sappiamo in cosa credere
Ragazzi di oggi, noi
Ragazzi di oggi, noi
Siamo il fuoco sotto la cenere
Non farti prendere
Da questo eterno attendere
Noi, siamo quello che può succedere
Non fare spegnere
La voglia che hai di ridere
Noi, siamo quelli in cui tu puoi credere
Devi venire con noi
Siamo i ragazzi di oggi noi
Dai coloriamo questa città
E poi vedrai che ti piacerà
Siamo noi
Siamo i ragazzi di oggi noi
I veri amici che tu non hai
E tutti insieme si può cantare
Ragazzi di oggi, noi
Ragazzi di oggi, noi
E poi vedrai che ti piacerà
The song "Noi ragazzi di oggi" by Luis Miguel is an uplifting anthem about young people living in the present moment and embracing their unique qualities. The lyrics express a spirit of unity and hope, with the singer and his fellow "ragazzi di oggi" (today's boys) seeking adventure and inspiration in life.
The opening lines of the song introduce us to the young people of today, ready to take on the world with all of its possibilities. They dream of what the future might hold, but they live in the present moment with a sense of purpose and joy. The next lines emphasize their diversity and shared humanity, as they all need a pair of wings to fly and exceptional experiences to grow. Despite the challenges they might face, they are strong and resilient, pushing forward with determination and passion.
The chorus invites everyone to join in the fun, letting their colors shine and singing together as friends. It's a call to action, a plea to break free from waiting for something to happen and start living life to the fullest. As "ragazzi di oggi," they know what they believe in and what they're capable of achieving. They want to share that with the world and inspire others to join them.
Overall, "Noi ragazzi di oggi" is a song about youth, hope, and the power of friendship. It celebrates the present moment and all the possibilities that lie ahead, while also acknowledging the challenges that we all face. With its catchy tune and upbeat lyrics, it's a song that can uplift people of all ages and backgrounds.
