The Mob Song
Luke Evans Lyrics

He'll come stalking us at night
Set to sacrifice our children to his monstrous appetite
He'll wreak havoc on our village if we let him wander free
So it's time to take some action, boys
It's time to follow me
Through the darkness and the shadows
It's a nightmare, but it's one exciting ride
Say a prayer, then we're there
At the drawbridge of a castle
And there's something truly terrible inside
It's a beast he's got fangs, razor sharp ones
Massive paws, killer claws for the feast
Hear him roar, see him foam
But we're not coming home 'til he's dead
Good and dead
Kill the Beast
Light your torch, mount your horse
Screw your courage to the sticking place
We're counting on Gaston to lead the way
Call it war, call it threat
You can bet they all will follow
For in times like this, they'll do just as I say
There's a beast running wild, there's no question
But I fear the wrong monster's released
Sally forth! tally ho!
Grab your sword, grab your bow
Praise the Lord and here we go
We don't like what we don't understand in fact it scares us
And this monster is mysterious at least
Bring your guns bring your knives
Save your children and your wives
We'll save our village and our lives
We'll kill the Beast
Hearts ablaze, banners high
We go marching into battle
Unafraid although the danger's just increased
Raise the flag, sing the song
Here we come, we're fifty strong
And fifty Frenchmen can't be wrong
Let's kill the Beast
Kill the Beast, kill the Beast
The Mob Song by Luke Evans is a song that appears in the live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. In this song, Gaston convinces a mob of villagers to help him kill the Beast, who he believes is a danger to their village. The first stanza sets the tone for the song, where Gaston tells the villagers that they won't be safe until the Beast is dead. This is followed by a description of the Beast's monstrous appetite and how he will wreak havoc on their village if they don't do something about it.
The second stanza is an invitation for the villagers to join him in his quest to kill the Beast. He takes them through the woods, darkness, and shadows to a castle where the Beast resides. He then describes the Beast's features, such as fangs, razor-sharp claws, and massive paws. Despite the danger, the villagers are determined to kill the Beast and will not return home until he is good and dead.
The Mob Song is a compelling and powerful song that conveys Gaston's charisma and the villagers' fear. It's a statement on human nature where people are quick to judge and act based on their fears and misconceptions, and it's an excellent representation of how people can be manipulated into believing and doing things that they wouldn't otherwise do.

Belle: You want proof? She me the Beast! There is your proof!
LeFou: Well, it IS hard to argue with that.
Gaston: This is sorcery! Look at this beast. Look at his fangs! His claws!
Belle: No! Don't be afraid. He is gentle and kind.
Gaston: She is clearly under a spell. If I didn't know better, I'd say she even CARED for this monster.
Belle: The Beast would never hurt anyone.
Gaston: We can't have her running off to warn the Beast. Lock her up. That creature will curse us all if we don't stop him! Well, I say we KILL THE BEAST!

@tamira1060
Okay, I know people disagree but I think it's vry clear why gaston does all this:
1. We was the leader of the army years ago, thats also why all the villagers loved him (and because he is hot)
2. There wasn't a war in many years so he wanted some action, he says in the song 'It's a nightmare but it's one exiting ride' and he says 'Call it war, call it threat!' He thinks: finally a war again now I can do the only thing I'm good at
3. He is angry because why is the only girl that gives him "that sense of je ne sais quoi'" also the only girl that don't love him.
4. He's also angry at th beast because he locked Belle, his "future wife"
5. the whole village count on him to save the village because he is the big army leader and the people are affraid
6. He is a person who makes quick decisions, he goes on his instinct.
7. If you think of a beast, I'm sure you don't think he can be kind and honest. If you saw him, you would probably try to hurt or kill him or you run away.
I think 7 reasons is enough.
Btw, English is not my language so if it is't very good....
@dejaypage1575
Okay, Luke really plays up the evil,in this. His voice isn't as deep, but this plays his manipulative side
@orbarel3435
Dejay Page his voice is perfect!!
@KatyaArifinisnotreal
Dejay Page Exactly what I was thinking! There's more malice in his voice than the original.
@rainstarflowerdroplets9624
Carla Rosado Rodriguez it's wonderful too just like the 1994
@Augiegrl12
I know! My heart was pounding! :D
@daniellejordan1906
Well as I told my friends, if he could play Dracula/Vlad in Dracula Untold, then he can play Gaston lol. I can't WAIT to see him in this movie!!
@kosho88
"There's a beast running wild, there's no question. But I fear the wrong Monster's released..." I actually like this line...
@DarthWill3
I think it's "the real monster's released."
@shannondeyong4289
DarthWill3 No, Andres is right. It's "But I fear the wrong monster's released..."
It's chilling & on-point & I love it so much. It may be one of my favorite lyrics in the show. It's a small moment, but so dang good. I keep listening to this version of the song over & over. (And I adore the original movie soundtrack & the Broadway show is in my top 3-5 scores of all time.)
@nkirukaj2384
DarthWill3 no, they're right, it's "wrong" monster
