Paul and Morgan, I've been watching your videos for awhile but haven't really commented on them. I don't usually comment on YouTube videos, so this is a big deal for me. :-) Here's my first one for you.

I've never really watched the shows "The Bachelor" or "The Bachelorette." I've seen clips here and there. I did watch the link that you included...and I felt like I was watching a soap opera with the dramatic music and the dialogue. Haha. It doesn't surprise me that the network edited the way it did. It's all for entertainment purposes.

Have you seen the TV show, "UnReal" with Shiri Appleby? My younger brother (who is a non-believer) told me of that show and I try to watch shows that he tells me about to bond with him. I watched that whole series and it gave me a pretty good idea of what reality shows like "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette" are like. So, the things that Luke said in this video of how the producers asked him questions to answer a certain way was also addressed in the show "UnReal" also.

My takeaway from watching your conversation with Luke is that our willpower is not greater than our environment. I like to be a witness around my non-believing friends, like people in the entertainment industry, corporate world, and family members...and it's so important to have that time with the Lord and take a break and be surrounded by like-minded people. I can feel how it affects my spirit spending a few hours with people who don't know the Lord. There is definitely strength in numbers (like being at church or finding other believers in your environment). I'm just sharing my personal experience, so I would imagine that other believers may feel the same.

If anything, this made me think more about how to be wise if I'm going to be spending a lot of time around non-believers. Thank you. I want to be a positive impact to them...and not be negatively impacted by them also.

@StillStylish hehe because I am Afrikaans. Born and bred in South Africa. Thank you for responding to my message (or essay, I didn't realise it's so long) and gave a positive response too. God bless you and may He guide and protect you.

StillStylish

@Chere Van Niekerk I agree Fully what you say Chere (why do you hav an afrikaans surname?!). Thanks, I also am a great believer of standing up for God and what's right, and that's what Ive also got respect for Luke for. Im soo glad he's at last saying his say. Hope hell be doing that more. And not listen too much even what other Christians say (about his socalled "mistakes") and listen more to what God says. That's THE best way of being REAL

StillStylish

@jj d I just want to ask you: were you there when Luke and Hannah and the others had conversations? Are you aware that they edit tv shows to create sensation? In my eyes Luke didnt make that many "mistakes" anyway. He was calmer under those circumstances than most men would be. And initially they were just rude to him because of jealousy

Here's the thing- Sean Lowe was a strong Christian guy on the bachelorette and bachelor and there was so much respect for him and his convictions. He led bible studies with all the guys (who weren't believers).... Sean's character was solid, he was kind, patient and such an example of Christ. Luke P isnt being shamed for being a Christian... he's shamed for being kind of a jerk (aka throwing cold cuts at someone)

AmaraEmme

For anyone saying that the show gave Luke a bad edit: Luke provided the material. And 1) it seems like no one else on that season acted as outrageously and violently as Luke did, otherwise the editors would have featured it to maximize the dramatic context. 2) there was no reason for the producers to discriminate against Luke for his faith as opposed to someone else who hypothetically exhibited similar behavior, because many of the people on the Bachelor(ette) are openly Christian. We know this because religion is important to many of the leads, so they cast contestants with compatible beliefs; moreover, the Bachelor casts subsequent seasons with previous cast members. This has led to multiple seasons full of self-proclaimed Christians (e.g. the seasons of Emily M., Sean, Ben H., Colton, Hannah)

Shame and condemnation IS not the fruit of the spirit ❤️ it’s not from God. It’s from the enemy.

We all have fall short from the glory of God. We all deserve the same Grace. Thank God For Gods Grace ❤️

Emily Laura Hewitt you’re a delusional woman lol did you not listen to anything I said, if Sean was casted today they would have represented him differently
