The Lumïsade vision for spine-tingling Balearic brilliance has already been previewed to the dance world scene via collaborative hits like “Ocean Drive”, “Yámana” and “Mañana”, their studio work proving so inspiring that it motivated the pair to pursue a new sound, a fresh mentality and an entirely new musical project. Lumïsade is now signed to Armada Music.
“We literally spent months with planning and sound design, mapping out the new Lumïsade style, and we think the result is truly unique and something that hasn't been done before,” says Hahmo.
The new project emerges as the next chapter for two producers who have both played an essential role in the Finnish electronic music scene, sharing decades of studio expertise between them.
Hahmo’s history in club music stretches back to when he helped pen the Anjunabeats classic “Alt+F4” in 2004, with his sound eventually channelled into the timeless “Cocktail Bar” on Anjunadeep, a defining record for the Helsinki mainstay. More recently, he’s launched his own Hahmo Recordings label and juggled his talent for deeper sounds with a flirtation with the mainstage, with weapons like ‘Gold Rush’ earning support from Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Hardwell, Above & Beyond and more.
Meanwhile, K-System aka Kimmo Kauppinen has a history in club culture that stretches back to the late ‘90s, as one of the true veterans of the Finnish dance scene. Both behind the scenes as an in-house writer for Warner Chappell, as well with his own bevy of successful albums and singles, the compilations he’s mixed for Ministry of Sound, plus remixes for massive names like Tiësto, Judge Jules and more.
"Electronic music has always been our passion, and we share a lot of good memories around the culture,” says Kauppinen. “Our vision is to produce high-quality music and live shows with our own unique twist, and to deliver unforgettable memories and experiences for our fans.”
Imagine Armin van Buuren playing one of his coveted warm-up sets on the Ushuaïa rooftop, the distinct brand of deep Balearic he’s known to open parties on special occasions.
