3. Luna, a dream pop/indie rock band formed in 1991 by Dean Wareham after the breakup of Galaxie 500, with Stanley Demeski formerly of The Feelies and Justin Harwood formerly of the New Zealand band The Chills. Described by Rolling Stone magazine as “the best band you’ve never heard of,” Luna blended nuanced guitar work, shading dynamics, and Wareham's wry wit. The original line-up was expanded with the addition of guitarist Sean Eden for their second album, 1994's Bewitched. Lee Wall replaced Demeski on drums in time for 1997's Pup Tent, and Britta Phillips of The Belltower (also known as the singing voice of animated character Jem) joined when bassist Justin Harwood departed in 2000. They played their final concert at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on February 28, 2005. Phillips and Wareham became romantically involved and eventually married in 2007. After reforming for tour dates in 2015 and 2016, Luna announced plans for two new recordings to be released in 2017.
4. Luna was a new wave band from Novi Sad, Serbia, formed by poet Slobodan Tišma in 1981, after the breakup of Tišma's earlier band, La Strada. During the late 1981 former Pekinška Patka members Zoran Bulatović Bale (guitar) and Marko Vukomanović Mare (bass) with former La Strada members Slobodan Tišma (vocals) and Ivan Fece Firchie (drums) joined together and formed Luna.
Formed on the ashes of the new wave band La Strada and getting the name by the Bernardo Bertolucci film La Luna, Luna quickly gained the public's attention and established a cult status. Owing to Marko Brecelj, a former Buldožer member, who had approached them after a performance in Rijeka, Zoran Bulatović "Bale" (guitar), Slobodan Tišma (vocals), Ivan Fece "Firchie" (drums) and Jasmina Mitrušić "Mina" (keyboards, vocals) got the opportunity to release their debut album. However, their debut and only album Nestvarne stvari (Unreal Things) was released after the band disbanded. The album was critically well acclaimed and is considered one of the finest releases of the former Yugoslav rock scene.

They'll all be gone tomorrow
Pull me a face
And say something witchy
It's time to get out of your bed
Some people talk like babies
Others say nothin' at all
From the wonderful jug
It's time to get out of your head
Well we're travelin' light
Gonna speed through the night
Only now you recall
It means nothing at all
You were stuck in a dream
And you wanted to scream
But it's nothing at all
No it's nothin'
Don't wanna go to class
Said they could kiss you goodbye
You've got no choise
Feel like christopher boyce
Time to get out of your bed
Words you don't understand
Are all makin' sense tonight
It's hard to think straight
When you're feelin' so great
Only wanna get out of your head
Well we're travelin' light
Gonna speed through the night
Only now you recall
It means nothing at all
You were stuck in a dream
And you wanted to scream
But it's nothing at all
No it's nothing at all
Well we're travelin' light
Gonna speed through the night
But it's nothing at all
No it's nothing at all
The lyrics of "Moon Palace" by Luna exude a sense of urgency and a need to escape from reality. The opening lines, "Seventeen dreams for you, they'll all be gone tomorrow," suggest a fleeting nature to our aspirations and perhaps a fear of missed opportunities. The singer urges someone to join them and break free from their current state, encouraging them to "get out of your bed" and leave behind the monotony of everyday life.
The lyrics use vivid imagery to describe the escape, with the lines "Give me a slug from the wonderful jug" painting a picture of a carefree, alcohol-fueled adventure. The lyrics also suggest a sense of rebellion, with the line "Don't wanna go to class, said they could kiss you goodbye" conveying a disregard for societal norms and expectations.
The repeated refrain of "It means nothing at all, no it's nothing at all" could be interpreted in a few different ways. It could represent a nihilistic worldview where nothing ultimately matters, or it could be a way of reassuring oneself that the risks and potential consequences of the escape are minimal in the grand scheme of things. Either way, the overall message of the lyrics is a call to break free from societal constraints and live life on one's own terms.
