Roses
Lunatic Wolf Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Roses line pavements
That's all I see
When I close my eyes
After you've looked
Back at me

So much taller now
I can see over all your walls
And your garden, so delightful

Our love became a rhythm
That I could not, that I could not help but find
It happened when I least expected it
It happened when I least expected it

So much stronger now
Our hearts gone there and back again
Just like the words we'll speak, they won't break

Our love became a rhythm
That I could not, that I could not help but find
It happened when I least expected it
It happened when I least expected it

Our love became a rhythm
That I could not, that I could not help but find

It happened when I least expected it
It happened when I least expected it

You know, I've had this song in my top favourite songs playlist for years. Other bands in this genre that I also love- Sleeping At Last comes to mind -just can never seem to quite captivate the same sense of comfort and cosiness this song brings. This song alongside "Throwing Out the Mail" are true masterpieces in terms of comfort for me. Thank you.
