In 2012 Lunic was the winner of the PlanetRox competition and was chosen as the US headliner for the Envol et Macadam Festival in Quebec City, Canada. In 2013 Lunic was the Grand Prize Winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in the Electronic Category for her song, "War." In 2014 she was a semi-finalist in the rock category of the International Songwriting Competition for her song, "Magic Love-Hate Thing."
Page, born in upstate NY, attended university in Nashville, TN and moved to Los Angeles in 2003. Her experience as a performer began as an electric violinist and keyboard player in various LA-based pop/rock bands, most notably the Australian rock band Porcelain (Universal Records). Page began writing songs in early 2005 after seeing the British alt. rock band Muse perform live at Coachella Music Festival. In 2007 she relocated to London, and spent the next 7 years touring, traveling the world, writing new music, & studying Spanish, French, & German. Much of the inspiration for her writing is derived from her travels. To date she has visited 25 countries.
Her first release, in 2006, was a collection of piano-based alternative songs called The Uglylights (demos), written & recorded in California, followed quickly by the EP Splinter, recorded in London in just 3 days. They were followed up in 2009 by Lunic's first fan-funded album Lovethief, written & recorded in upstate NY. In 2012, she released Future Sex Drama, a full-length written & recorded in Germany & New York City, originally described as “sultry, ethereal synthpop” by Lunic herself. She has also released a plethora of digital singles on iTunes over the years: Beautiful, Dichotomy, Oh No Yoko!, Magic Love-Hate Thing, Far Away (Radio Edit), The Dark House (Elliot Tribal Remix).
On Future Sex Drama, Lunic begins taking her first steps as a producer, bringing together the experimentation behind her early work and a cutting edge pop aesthetic. A blend of dark ethereal synthpop and electronic rock similar to Metric, The xx, Lights or Ladytron, Future Sex Drama is, "Glossy enough for the dance floor but retaining that sinister edge." -CMJ. Each album tackles a different set of influences and styles. This approach has allowed the project to remain flexible and evolving.

Stockings up to her thighs
You know she wanna go down
You know she been around
While you sleep, she will creep
Out of the shadows like a leach
Hide your neck, lock the doors
Put up the cross cause she's a wrong - way girl
She climbs up to the glass
You watch her shake her ass
A succubus with a nice smile
You'll let her stay for a while
While you sleep, your soul she'll keep
She'll make you wonder, make you weep
Beneath the covers of the world
Don't be shy, you're all mine
I'll take what I want, I'll take my time
Nothing you can do, you're just a man, fool
Lie back, be sweet, feel the heat
Cause I'm a wrong - way girl
I'm gonna rock your world
The lyrics of Lunic's song, Revenge Of The Lot Lizard, talk about a seductive woman who goes by the name of a "wrong-way girl." Throughout the song, the singer warns the listener to beware of her as she sneaks around at night, waiting for the perfect opportunity to pounce. She's sexy and alluring, but also dangerous, with an insatiable desire for men. The singer tells the listener to take precautions like locking the doors and hiding their necks. It's implied that this woman is a vampire or perhaps a succubus, who preys on men while they sleep.
The song's lyrics can be interpreted in many ways. On one hand, it can be seen as a cautionary tale about dangerous women who lure men in with their wiles. On the other hand, it can be interpreted as an empowerment anthem for women who refuse to play by the rules and take what they want. While the lyrics are somewhat ambiguous, the driving beat and catchy chorus make for an entertaining and thought-provoking song.
