(Just give me a little more grace)
That's all I need to run this race,
(Oh, little more grace)
Don't want to stop where the saints have trod,
I got to go on to see my God
Everybody All I want is a little more grace.
Although my trials are heavy, my savior I try to please
Satan is not goin' to leave me alone to serve God as I should
That's why I'm look for the grace God give, Just like he said he would
Bass All I want from Jesus
Alto Grace
Tenor Grace
Sop Grace
Everybody Lead Grace, Oh, yes, a little more grace
Everybody A little more grace
Special chorus (Choir repeats Grace, grace, Grace, Oh, grace)
For the times when you persecute me,
Then when my lov'd ones misuse me,
Troubles on ev'ry hand,
Living in a Christian land
Help me when the hell hounds are blazing,
Keep me when the storms are raging,
Hell hounds standing all around me,
Enemies camped all around me.
Father and mother wont own me,
Sister and brother scorn me
All my friends misunderstand
Even tho I do all I can
Over in the midnight hour
Grace will give me power,
Over in the midnight hour
Grace will give me power.
Oh, give it to me Jesus
Oh, give it to me Jesus,
Oh, give it to me Jesus,
Oh give it to me Jesus
Grace, Grace, Grace, Grace
Grace, Grace, Grace, Grace,
Grace, Grace Grace, Grace,
Grace, Grace, Grace, Grace.

Everybody A little more grace
The song "A Little More Grace" by Luther Barnes is a plea for strength and determination to continue running the race of life despite the difficulties encountered along the way. The lyrics emphasize the need for grace from God to overcome the obstacles that stand in the way of reaching heaven. The singer acknowledges that despite his efforts to please God, trials and tribulations will come his way, and he needs God's grace to persevere. With the assurance that grace will give him the power to overcome all these challenges, he continues to pray for more of it.
The song paints a vivid picture of the Christian life, where opposition from the devil, persecution from people, and misunderstandings from those closest to us can sometimes be overwhelming. However, the song encourages the listener to have faith in God's promise of grace and to stay steadfast in their commitment to Him. Grace is the key to his victory over every obstacle that may come his way, and he prays continually for more of it.
Overall, "A Little More Grace" encourages and uplifts the listener to have faith in God's ability to help them overcome all life's challenges, both great and small. The song promises that with God's grace, we will be victorious in the end.
