If you want peace within
If you're in misery, then you need to come with
And if the load that you bear
If it seems to be more than your share
Your life has been torn apart
Then you need a brand new start
I wanna take you to a place
It's a place where we all can go
It's a place where peaceful waters flow
(chorus)
Come fly with me, away, away
To a better place, away, away
You will find the desires of your heart
If you only, set yourself apart
From all these worldly things,
Think of all the joy it will bring
And there will be no more despair
Because everything will be bright and fair
Nothing else to go wrong
We'll sing a brand new song
I wanna take you to a place
Where happiness reigns everyday
It's a place where we all can go
It's a place where, peaceful waters flow
(Chorus)
Come fly with me, away, away
To a better place, away, away
There we'll find a sweet resting place
A place where we'll never grow old
He's gonna wipe all the tears from my eyes
Oh the half has never been told
Oh the half has never been told
Never been told...
(Chorus)
Come fly with me, away, away
To a better place, away, away...
(repeat to end)
The lyrics to Luther Barnes's song "Come Fly With Me" talks about the need for a new beginning, a fresh start away from the pains of the present. The verses highlight the struggles and pains of living in sin, the need for peace within, and the weight of life's burdens that can make one feel torn apart. The song invites the listener to a place of happiness and peacefulness where they will find the desires of their hearts, a place where they will encounter no despair and where everything will be bright and fair. The chorus speaks to the need to take a journey to a better place where one will find rest and never grow old while God wipes all tears from their eyes.
The lyrics of the song provide insight into the Christian faith perspective, particularly the idea of finding rest in the Lord, seeking forgiveness, and the promise of eternal life. It is a call for people to turn from their worldly ways, to set themselves apart and come along to a better place of rest where God reigns supreme. The song is a reassuring reminder that for those who choose to come with, they will experience happiness, peace, and a sense of completeness that is unattainable in the real world.

I like the song and we are going to practice it on tomorrow night for Sunday service. However, I cannot send a copy to the choir. So I quess we will have to go on the lead singer remembrance.
