Lvmen Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
a proto, že i věci nejstarší leží v síti přítomného času …
The lyrics of Lvmen's song IX can be interpreted to convey a message of questioning the fundamental purpose of existence, its meaning, and the reasons behind why things were created. The opening line "Bláznivin se rozsévá nazdařbůh" can be translated to mean "madness spreading to the four winds," which could imply that life is chaotic and unpredictable.
The following line, "proč jim však naslouchat," which means "why listen to them," suggests a disbelief towards authority and those who claim to have all the answers. The line "Je v tom zatajen nějaký smysl?" could be interpreted to mean "is there a hidden meaning," implying that there could be more to life than meets the eye.
The song goes on to explore the idea that things are created out of necessity, such as poetry or the echoes of wandering voices, even though their purpose may not be explicitly clear. The line "z rozkazu bloudící ozvěny" translates to "by the order of wandering echoes," which suggests that even the most uncertain and fleeting aspects of life can have a purpose. Finally, the line "a proto, že i věci nejstarší leží v síti přítomného času" translates to "and because even the oldest things lie in the network of present time," which speaks to the cyclical nature of life and the idea that everything is connected.

Bláznivin se rozsévá nazdařbůh
Foolishness is being spread haphazardly
proč jim však naslouchat
But why listen to it
Je v tom zatajen nějaký smysl?
Is there some hidden meaning behind it?
Proč byly napsány ?
Why were they written?
Z bůhdarma, namátkou, z potřeby básně…
From divine inspiration, randomly, out of the need for poetry...
z rozkazu bloudící ozvěny,
By command of wandering echoes,
a proto, že i věci nejstarší leží v síti přítomného času …
And because even the oldest things lie in the web of present time...
