Helter Skelter
Mötley Crüe Lyrics

When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide
I get to the top and I go for a ride
I get to the bottom and I see you again
I see you again
Do you, don't you want me to love you
I'm coming down fast but I'm miles above you
Oh tell me tell me tell me come on tell me the answer
You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer

Helter skelter helter skelter
Helter skelter

Do you, won't you want me to make you
I'm coming down fast but don't let me break you
Oh tell me tell me tell me the answer
You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer

Helter skelter helter skelter
Helter skelter

Oh yeah, come on turn on the power

When I get to the bottom I go back to the top of the slide
I get to the top I go for a ride
I get to the bottom and I see you again, I see you again

Do you, don't you want me to love you
I'm coming down fast but I'm miles above you
Oh tell me, come on baby tell me the answer
You may be a lover but you ain't no dancer

Helter skelter, helter skelter
Helter skelter

Helter skelter, helter skelter
Helter skelter
Helter skelter, helter skelter
Helter skelter
Comin' down on you
It's helter skelter

This is the first album (okaaaaay, cassette tape!) that I bought with my own money.

I was 14 and noticed some boys in my Christian school slyly passing this tape around. Had to be secretive! This was during the 80’s Satanic Panic!

The big discussion was how the band looked like ugly women and shock over the pentagram on the cover. LMAO

I recall the makeup was confusing, but I’m not sure why because we all should have been familiar with KISS and earlier glam, in general, having been kids in the 70’s.

Anyway, knew I had to own this, so I bought it. Mom was both amused and disgusted. I did not care! I wore the tape out.

I became a Motley Crue junky. There was no space on the walls and ceiling of my room that was not covered (yeah, there were other people on my walls too, but MC trumped all) and my allowance was spent on buying any magazine to get more pin-ups and posters.

I had a school folder that was designed to look like the Shout at the Devil album cover
(which I skillfully hid in my other folders, because of Christian school teachers being stupid). If I had spent as much time in math paying attention as I spent drooling and daydreaming over my folder, I’d be a mathematics genius today.

Mom ended up being supportive. She came home, proud of herself, because she had a surprise for me. It was a MC pin for my jacket... but it was Mick Mars. No 14 or 15 year-old girl wanted a Mick Mars pin. I wore it anyway, but with mild shame because Mick Mars wasn’t cute... oh youth!!!!

Hey, people are allowed to comment or argue about a song. Here's an idea: if you just want to listen, just listen don't read the comments.

No one is stopping you from enjoying it, so just stop typing stupid comments and focus on the music (you are sounding like one of those born in the wrong generation kids). Is that easy just stop pretending or trying to fit in and listen to the music. Is that simple.

I'm usually not impressed with covers, especially when it's from a song The Beatles did first, but I was shocked when I first heard this.

@aidsbrigade I've heard allll the other covers. They are trash compared to this.
