Jailhouse Rock
Mötley Crüe Lyrics

(Talk)
This one recorded live
Right here tonight
And I think you've got the fuckin' jive
Cause we've got some bad beat boogie woogie
For ya boys
Here we go.

The warden threw a party in the county jail
The prison band was there and they began to wail
The band was jumpin' now the joint began to swing
You should have heard the night that jailbird sang

(Chorus)
Let's rock
Everybody let's rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock

Sad Sacker Sid was on a block of stone
With Opel in the corner weeping all alone
The warden said, "Hey man, don't you be no square
If you can't find a partner us a wooden chair"

(Chorus)
(Hey) (Hey) (Hey) (Hey)
Number forty seven said to number three
"Well, you're the cutest jailbird I ever did see
I sure would be delighted with your company
Come on and do the Jailhouse Rock with me"

(Chorus)
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock
Everybody in the whole cell block...rock!!!

(Talk)
One more time!!!

(Hey) (Hey) (Hey)
Well, everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock
Everybody in the whole cell block
Was dancin' to the Jailhouse Rock
Everybody in the whole cell block...woo-hoo, yeah!!!

Dancin' to the Jailhouse, yeah-whoo!!!
We're Mötley Crüe!!!
See-ya!

And people say Vince couldnt sing even in the 80s...

Angus Orvid

Vince had the perfect voice for Crue. He had good days and bad days like anyone else. Anytime I saw Crue live, which was probably six or seven times between '85 and '90 Vince sang just fine for what was needed. He was no Pavarotti, but so what, it's rock and roll.

@Azael Yeah, i know about their hedonistic lifestyle. Thats a fukin career on its own right? I read the Dirt when it first came out in the early 2000s. I have the 1st edition with signed autograph from Nikki and Mick. Heroin Diaries was a good reading too.

Slayer 4282

Vince has such a unique voice

Azael

They never take in the fact that EVERY day of the Tour, Motley was getting absolutley slammered. The fact that they still managed to put on a great show everytime is amazing. Read The Dirt and you will see ;)

April May

one of those songs that the cover is better than the original...

Isaac Grogan

No wat

This Guy

I think this cover sounds like shit, but I respect your opinion though

Alexi

April May Damn right it's fair to compare 50s and 80s.. This is the mixture of metal and punk. Elvis is pure Rock n' roll.
