citation needed on that one, but I dig almost everything on all the labels he did. Ecology - Ecolgy EP, Hackney Hardcore - Dance Hall Dangerous, Undercover Movement - Moonstompin, and he was on Transmat 7 (MS 7) in 1989, dude has made tons of great stuff.
I read him and DJ Hype fell out over the Tigers in Space EP and him and Danny Donnelly(Sub Base) weren't on good terms back in the day , but I don't think that takes away from the music. I even like Joy

Put it this way, I was heavily involved in music in Romford in the late 80's early 90's, I was in MR's studio many many times as were a lot of guys in that area. I don;t know a single person who worked with him who thought they got a good deal. Like I said, his own brother ''Mikey James' fell out with him and even recorded at Subbase as a result of that.
Virtually everything he did was unoriginal, I'm not talking about sampling older tracks and remaking them, he was just ripping great hooks off and adding new drums and bass - remixing I would call it.
Now, all that said, there are still great tunes in his catalogue even though they are ripoffs.
