Ahhh man this writing was so awesome. I liked how with his original telling of the story, they were having fun, and he was saying pass the bottle back. Then it got a little darker. The bottle was to treat a patient. Then it got more darker with no party and the chicken. Then the chicken turned into the baby. Genius. It really shows how he repressed that memory.

It may seem mean and invasive, but it honestly is for the best. Would he have ever came to terms with what had happened if he continued believing what he had convinced himself had happened? No, he would have been a walking powder keg of blocked emotions, and that's never good. Now that he's accepted the reality, they can move on to helping him understand that it wasn't his fault.

I will never forget this scene I watched as a teenager. I believe Mash is the best show ever on television and this is the best scene ever produced hands down. The scene has always come back to me from time to time throughout my life. This is what stress can do. I have always liked this doctor's approach throughout this program.
