Paper Planes
M.I.A Lyrics

If you catch me at the border I got visas in my name
If you come around here, I make 'em all day
I get one down in a second if you wait
I fly like paper, get high like planes
If you catch me at the border I got visas in my name
If you come around here, I make 'em all dayI get one down in a second if you wait
Sometimes I think sitting on trains
Every stop I get to I'm clicking my gun
Everyone's a winner we're making that fame
Bonafide hustler making my name
Sometimes I think sitting on trains
Every stop I get to I'm clocking that game
Everyone's a winner now we're making that fame
Bonafide hustler making my name
All I wanna do is
And
And take your money
All I wanna do is
And
And take your money
All I wanna do is
And
And take your money
All I wanna do is
AndAnd take your money
Pirate skulls and bones
Sticks and stones and weed and bombs
Running when we hit 'em
Lethal poison through their system
Pirate skulls and bones
Sticks and stones and weed and bombs
Running when we hit 'em
Lethal poison through their system
No one on the corner has swag like us
Hit me on my burner prepaid wireless
We pack and deliver like UPS trucks
Already going to hell, just pumping that gas
No one on the corner has swag like us
Hit me on my burner prepaid wireless
We pack and deliver like UPS trucks
Already going to hell, just pumping that gas
All I wanna do is
And
And take your money
All I wanna do is
And
And take your money
All I wanna do is
And
And take your money
All I wanna do is
And
And take your money
M.I.A.
Third world democracy
Yeah, I got more records than the K.G.B.
So, uh, no funny business
Some some some I some I murder
Some I some I let go
Some some some I some I murder
Some I some I let go
All I wanna do is
And
And take your money
All I wanna do is
And
And take your money
All I wanna do is
And
And take your money
All I wanna do is
And
And take your money
The lyrics of "Paper Planes" by M.I.A. are a reflection of the artist’s experience and the realities of living in an economically deprived, war-torn society. The lyrics describe the experience of people who are struggling to make ends meet and the lengths to which they go to survive. The lyrics, "I fly like paper, get high like planes," express the everyday struggle of people living in such societies, where poverty is pervasive and opportunities are few. The reference to "getting high like planes" may also allude to the prevalent use of drugs as a form of escape in such societies.
The lyrics, "if you catch me at the border I got visas in my name," highlight issues of immigration and the migrant experience. People who are forced to flee from war-torn, economically deprived societies are often met with hostility and discrimination when they try to enter other countries. The reference to "visas" alludes to the difficulties many migrants face when trying to cross borders, as well as the illegal means some may resort to in order to do so.
The lyrics also make references to violence and criminal activities, such as "clicking my gun," which may reflect the harsh reality of living in such societies, where violence is often a way of life. The chorus, "all I wanna do is (bang bang bang), and (ka-ching), and take your money" may be a reflection of the desperation many people feel in such societies, where survival is often dependent on money and resources.

It's sad though, her sound was really unique from basically EVERYONE else, now every single new song sounds the same but she always manages to sound unique each time, at least that's how I see it
