Amen
First off you got me fucked up
Heard god said you a buster
But I had faith like mustard
Seeds need to be more greed
Towards me like what us
They say keep trying like what for
Like I don't get enough of the wrong things
But the pain sound better when the song sing
Dreadin when the phone ring
Disappointing calls nothing good at all
Probably something that I got to pay
Or I just lost a dog
Survival of the fittest
Sounded good till it is
Watching everyone you ever loved
Beginnings of they ending
How like become a bite
When you go befriending
It was all about the benjis
But when granny visit
Try decode the message
I don't think I get it
Hoping she ain't tell me do it different
Cause I know I didn't
Been loving you to death
Wishing you was living
All this loving in the clouds
It's like the sky is full of ribbons
Been trying to change my cadence
But it's heaven given
Seeing all this hell on earth
Like we know heaven isn't
Lords landing full of many mansions
Follow by faith
Replace my understanding
A natural chemist academic
Said i heaven handed
Weight of the world on me
Hoping I can stand it
Amen
Amen
Amen
Amen
Let's talk about it
Amen
Amen
Amen
Amen
Let's talk about it
Amen
Amen
Amen
Amen
Let's talk about it
Amen
Amen

Overall Meaning

In M.O.P.A.'s song "Amen," the lyrics incorporate a quote from Romans 8:18 from the Bible. The quote speaks of the idea that the sufferings of this present time are insignificant when compared to the future glory that will be revealed in believers. The song then goes on to discuss the sacrifice that Jesus made and the struggles that the singer's own life presents. The chorus repeats the word "Amen," which serves as a declaration of agreement with and surrender to God's will.

The song's lyrics explore themes of sacrifice, surrender, and perseverance in the face of adversity. The singer marvels at Jesus's willingness to sacrifice himself for others, even when he knew that his own friends would betray him. The lyrics go on to suggest that if Jesus could endure such pain, then the singer can also persevere through their own struggles. The repetition of the word "Amen" throughout the song serves as a reminder that ultimately, the singer surrenders to God's will and accepts whatever trials may come their way.

Overall, the song "Amen" is a powerful meditation on faith and perseverance in the face of difficult circumstances. The lyrics draw upon biblical concepts to provide guidance and hope for those who may be struggling with their own obstacles.

Romans chapter 8 and verse 18 says:
The Bible teaches us that in Romans chapter 8 and verse 18, it states that the sufferings we experience in this world cannot be compared to the glory that will be revealed in us in the next life.

Listen
Let me explain what I've learned and how I can relate to the sacrifice that Jesus made.

I asked myself how did he do it?
I wondered how Jesus was able to make such a big sacrifice of his life even though those who loved him wanted him to be crucified.

Make such a sacrifice
Jesus gave up his life for us even though he knew the people he loved would betray him and his blood would be shed.

And the ones that he loved
Those who were closest to Jesus, including his friends and family, didn't believe in him and even turned against him when he was facing his final moments on earth.

Wanted him crucified
People who were supposed to care for Jesus and support his mission wanted to punish him in one of the most painful and personal ways possible.

Oh yea, he knew that his friends would betray him
Jesus knew that even those who were closest to him would turn their backs on him and deceive him during his final moments.

And he knew that his blood would be shed
He was aware of the violence that was to come and still went ahead with his mission to save humanity no matter the cost.

He coulda someone else in his place
Jesus was aware that he could have avoided his fate by substituting his own life with someone else's life, but he chose not to.

But instead he said
Instead, he accepted his suffering and gave himself up to show his love for us.

Amen
So be it. This is a way of saying he agrees with what must happen and that he is prepared to accept whatever comes his way.

[CHORUS:]
The chorus of the song starts here.

Amen
I accept and surrender to your will, God.

Mmm I surrender
I am giving up control and offering myself to God.

And my will be yours
I am ready to follow your plan for my life.

I lift my hands and say
This is a way of showing reverence and submission to God.

So I looked at my tasks and trials
When I face difficulties and hardships, I look to Jesus and his sacrifice as a source of inspiration and strength.

They can't compare to his pain
I know that my struggles can never truly compare to what Jesus went through.

And if he can go through it
If Jesus can endure so much pain and difficulty, surely I can find the strength within me to do the same.

Surely I can do the same
I am determined to be strong and keep the faith, no matter what hardships come my way.

Oh Lord
My love and devotion is directed towards God.

I bless you for all of the bad
Even in hardship, I thank God for the lessons and growth that come with it.

And I bless you for all of the good
I also thank God for the blessings and happiness in my life.

And the place where I stand
God has already been where I am, and he will guide me through it.

You have already stood
God has already endured and overcome, and I can draw strength from his example.

Never the less Amen
I still trust and submit to God's will, even if I don't understand it fully.

I don't understand but Amen
I accept and trust in God's plan, even if it doesn't make sense to me.

My soul say Amen
The deepest part of me, my soul, agrees fully with God's will.

This is not about me Lord
I acknowledge that my life and purpose are not about myself, but rather serving and following God's will.

Oohh I've got your will
I am committed to following God's plan for my life, even if it leads me to difficulties and hardships.

[END CHORUS]
The chorus ends here.
