Mine works fine on my Sig P365 X Macro. It also looks fine in low light. You don’t need a red dot in total darkness, you need a light. In very low light it is visible. I compare it to my Holosun 507K that I have on my Glock 33 (357Sig) and I feel that it is in the same class except for manual adjustment.

12 inch pounds is the torque for the mounting screws’ you said 12 pounds so I’m clarifying for the newbies. Good review brother’ I just received mine today and mounted it on a p365x. Im taking it out this Sunday if the weather isn’t poor. The only thing about this optic is it didn’t come with 50 thousand different mounting screws that all the snowflakes below are crying about. This is Not directed towards you as you found mounting screws at home’ but what kind of snowflake of a man in 2022 can’t go to the hardware store and buy 3mm screws??

The screw for p365XL are M3-0.5x8mm(Button head), which is what the Riton $20 mounting kit comes with and M3-0.5x10mm(countersunk flathead.) But, can accept up to 16mm length. I've been using M3-0.5x8mm countersunk flat head hex screws(6mm thread length) without issue. So I assume any M3-0.5x6mm-16mm(countersunk flat head) or M3-0.5x8mm-18mm(button head) will work. For anybody wondering.

I’m sending this back for repairs. Glue came off after 100 rounds. Sigh. I want to like this red dot. Let’s hope when it does come back, I won’t have the same issue.

In low light the sight dims to a barely perceptible level. Not good for a carry dot IMO, fine for a range toy, but that’s about it.

Just ordered it from bereli. For whatever reason, they have them on sale for $99 right now, so hopefully my screws from my romeo zero will just seat right into it or I'll have to order some screws.

Just picked one up for my 365 xl today had to find the right screws at the hardware store there m3 .5x8mm size, took it out to see whers it was hittinf at 7-10 yards and was pretty much point of aim point of impact! Iam impressed

@MoeSki1088 mine just came in today and I'm taking it out tomorrow. The screws seemed to fit fine on my hellcat and I torqued it down to where nothing feels loose. That's awesome news though! Looking forward to taking it out tomorrow to zero it out!

I have only seen this in Black. As far as auto brightness, it seems extremely bright in the brightest (mid summer desert shooting) conditions, and gets pretty dim in dark conditions. Overall the brightness seems very balanced!

Just recently bought a Riton thought I would support them, quality seems good but only comes with one set of screws so unless you have the right gun you get screwed. They do sell 3 other sets for $20 which is high on their site but if you have a S&W you get screwed once again because they don’t have any for that manufacture. Then when I contacted them about it they basically replied with go to S&W to get my screws, which basically means screw off. Will no longer support them anymore, terrible business practices in my opinion. Every other red dot I’ve purchased came with what was needed to mount to any gun, and have never been told go somewhere else to get what I needed to mount their optic.

@Ivan The Tactical That’s what I put it on, then just some other info. After installing it on the Shield Plus I shoot 20 rounds and the glass cracked. So now I’m waiting to see how well their warranty is going to be. Im now going to try the new Crimson Trace Micro Rad Pro. But I will say my Sig Zero has been flawless on my Glock, my Mecanik M01 has also been flawless on my Canik Mete SFX which is now one of my favorites so far, but they are on back order right now. Then my Vortex Venom on my G3C Toro has also been flawless so far. So as you can see by the ones I’ve been testing and using that I’m trying to find those in the $200-$275 range that work well and are reliable.

@Ivan The Tactical Just a quick update their warranty is quick with no hassles, so at least that part is good. Now we will see what happens with this one, I’m going to put it back on my Shield for testing it just to see how it does compared to the first one.

Ace hardware has some screws for the shield plus. 6-32 1/2. You can get button top or flat top 40 cents each.

@efm2169 thank you for that info, but while I was waiting for Riton to send mine back I order CT RAD MICRO PRO from Crimson Trace because if you bought one of the higher end dots they were giving you the CTS-1550 for free and they supply screws with their Red Dots for a variety of guns which is how it should be for what they cost. But I do appreciate it…

@MrBigKid thanks, I hadn’t heard of the shield cut before. I have the ruger max 9 and it has the cut that the venom works on, but I don’t want the venom for the reasons you mentioned in the video.

Well I purchase the mprd 2 if you do not want to shoot in dark then it may be a great optic but soon as it gets dark the thing is pretty much worthless the only reason I purchased it was to use it in the dark but it does not work so save your money

Mine gets really dim in almost total darkness. Can't see it, unless there's some light available. It's okay in dim light, if your eyes have adjusted to the lack of light. When I turn on weapon light, the dot pops up fine.
I would never fire into total darkness. Not a good idea, unless you have NV gear.

Somebody please help. I’m on my second written red dot for this handgun the last one the glass shattered after five shots the first day I went out to shoot my new handgun. I have an SCCY. Warrantees are awesome so they replaced it and I just seem to constantly have issues like at the moment the red dye was working because I put another new battery in and I was doing some dry firing when all of a sudden red dot went off and will not turn back on. The only way I can get it to start working again is to remove it from the hand gun take the battery out and put it back in. This is my second one I’d like to try to resolve it before I send it back for them to replace a girl

You can try a hardware store and see if they have something. Otherwise your best bet would be to find something online.
You might want to check with your LGS and see if they have a contact as well.

What gun do you have? If it's a P365X/XL it uses M3 .50 x 10 screws. You can find them at any decent Ace Hardware.

I agree. The 365 felt too small in my hands and I did not like the length of pull. The Shield has great follow-up capability for the size imo.

This crap uses the same screws Athlon optics use, the hex hole is new and already almost round. If you try to really snug it the wrench will rotate inside the screw hole and you will strip the rest of the shape left. The Athlon optics (LE I purchased recently went back to manufacturer because I could not even mount it , ) looks like Riton comes from the same Chinese sweat shop the Athlon does.

Bought two of them from Berelli and they mount perfectly fine on my Arex Delta M Gen 2 and Canik SFT METE. Don't know what your problem is.

I bought this optic for my XL and didn't even mounted it. Returned it within 5 days. Several factors played in the decision, some optic related and some user related. Main reason is my astigmatism wont let me see a dot but a distorted blob.. switching to a multi reticle and green dot.. the optic related reasons to return were: 1. The dot brightnes has a 3-4 second delay to adjust to ambient light. When you go to completely dark room not only the 4 second delay is annoying but the dot Dims out so much that you can barely see it. (Swampfox Sentinel auto brightness optic does a much better job at this... almost adjust instantaneously) 2. Its a shame that an Optic company does not provides with this optic a set of screws to be able to mount on your pistol.. the screws included does not fit the 365 XL but you have to go to Riton and spend another $15 bucks plus wait time on shipping to purchase a kit that will come with the screws you need plus an extra battery. Other optics already include several screws of different sizes so you can mount the optic in several pistols. I contacted Riton and they seemed to not care.. they didn't offer me to send me the screws but instead made me spend the extra money..thats horrible customer service. The screws don't even come with bue loctite on them...like on other optic brands.
3. The optic does not have MOA adjustment marks or clicks so you don't know how much you are adjusting when zeroing.

I thought that the lack of mounting screws in the video review had to be a fluke, but your experience suggests it’s just the way Riton does things, or rather, does not. $15 for two tiny screws sounds more like one big screw Riton the money hole with no Vaseline! 😆😆 Thanks for the mini review, Ill stay away from it even being only on sale for $99. I like auto on and off, but the auto brightness sounds like is big issue on this one.

It is actually a kit that comes with 2 different set of screw lenght.
Still expensive for tiny screws and no Vaseline was included 😂

@Toxic Society Troll lol I paid $6 on amazon for a box of 100 and swapped out the 2 screws that Riton sent for the ones that fit. Somebody else got 98 M3-0.5x8mm and 2 M4-0.7x11mm.
