Feelings
M. Albert Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Nothing more than feelings
Trying to forget my feelings of love
Teardrops
Rolling down on my face
Trying to forget my feelings of love
For all my life I'll feel it
I wish I've never met you, girl
You'll never come again
Feelings
Wo-o-o feelings
Wo-o-o feelings
Again in my arms
Feelings,
Feelings like I've never lost you
And feelings like I've never have you
Again in my heart
Feelings
For all my life I'll feel it
I wish I've never met you, girl
You'll never come again
Feelings
Feelings like I've never lost you
And feelings like I've never have you
Again in my life
Feelings
Wo-o-o feelings
Wo-o-o, feelings
Again in my arms
Feelings
Wo-o-o feelings
Wo-o-o, feelings
Wo-o-o, yeah
The lyrics of M. Albert's song "Feelings" are filled with imagery and metaphors that create a dark and melancholic atmosphere. The first stanza describes a night scene where the bikes are left outside while embers flicker under the door. The dogs are chasing satellites, but the singer tries to keep them indoors, suggesting a sense of confinement and restriction. The second stanza portrays a flooded floor and a subtle lamp that has stayed on every night since, representing a constant presence in the singer's life. There's a space between them, a universe full of light that they tend to ignore, indicating a distance in their relationship.
The chorus repeats the phrase "Feeling you" several times, emphasizing the emotional connection between the singer and the other person, but also hinting at a sense of longing and uncertainty. The bridge talks about how the world is spinning faster than expected, and the singer has been trying to do their best to get around it, suggesting a struggle to keep up with the pace of life. The final repetition of "Feeling you" is more restrained and almost whispered, representing a sense of resignation and acceptance.
Overall, the lyrics of "Feelings" paint a picture of a relationship that's struggling to survive amidst the chaos of the world. The use of metaphors and imagery creates a sense of mystery and introspection that invites the listener to interpret their own meaning from the song.

This was my dad's favorite song. He would turn the album on and play it over and over. He passed in 1999. A few years after I bought myself a little wind up musical horse. I brought it home without knowing the song was on it. I Wound it up and "Feelings" came on. RIP Dad! Xxoo

Your message is so warm. I can only imagine your feelings when it played. I was 2 hours from my destiny when I received the call, I was too late... I never had the chance to say goodbye to my dad. I wonder did he ever know he was my hero, I left home aged 16.

Jungian synchronicity.
I don't know...maybe it's a real thing! Or maybe it's just confirmation bias. 🤔
