I prayed to GOD that's when things changed
After praying to God, my life took a new turn.

On this road that I'm living I don't look for fame
I don't seek fame as I navigate my life's journey.

People close to me said I was acting weird.

Cause I heard HIM on em late night driving drunk
One night, while driving drunk, I heard a divine voice.

Almost took my own life but I had a son
I nearly committed suicide, but I had a child who gave me hope.

Shed plenty tears when I heard that Johnny gone
I cried a lot when I heard Johnny had passed away.

He gave me vision to help these youngin that wanna live
Johnny's death inspired me to help young people who want to live.

I hear the mothers cryin out and they shedin tears
Mothers are crying and shedding tears for their lost children.

To lose my life to this world is my only fear
My only fear is dying and leaving this world.

So I gotta keep praying to keep my vision clear
I pray to keep my vision clear to achieve my purpose.

This road is hard and best believe I got plenty scars
My journey has not been easy, and I have several scars to prove it.

This for the homies that locked away in em cold dang bars
This is for my friends locked away in prison.

We stay connected when we pray but yet you seem so far
Although we feel connected when we pray, God seems distant at times.

We need ya light we need ya grace to find out who we are
We need God's light and grace to discover our true selves.

I pray to GOD for all the times that I didn't pray
I pray to God for all the times I neglected to pray.

I pray to GOD when that gun jammed and I ran away
When the gun jammed, and I ran away, I prayed to God.

I pray to GOD for my homie when he got locked away
I prayed for a friend who got locked away in prison.

And he made it home from that system and that made my day
It made my day when my friend was released from prison.

I pray to GOD for my enemies tryna take my life
I pray for people trying to take my life.

My life is better when I pray cause I believe in CHRIST
I believe in Christ, and my life improves when I pray.

I pray to GOD when I lost hope wit no way to go
When I'm hopeless and have nowhere to turn, I pray to God.

Then he showed me HIS many blessings and I had to grow
God showed me His blessings, and I had to mature and appreciate them.

When living in rough neighborhoods, prayer can help you survive.

Pray to God and work hard to find your path in life.
