Whatever you see, I'm getting you 3
I'm falling apart, Take it before I leave
What do u want, I can't get it anymore
Sipping my poison now I've fallen on the floor
I can't even stand up or get out the door
My brain frown, getting sore
Inna loop, I am tore
I know that u see me I can't take it anymore
If you ask me one more time
I promise I'll be yours
Not much time left, don't wanna miss it
Mixing love potion, baby let's drink it
Special k crystal hit my heart and it fix it
Special x crystal hit my life now I miss it
Falling in love, I just wanna kiss it
In love with drugs, it's toxic I risk it
I need to stop
I promise I try
Promise you I never lie
Working it out I'm still asking why
Angels in the night with bro in the light
Choosing the right one
About to take flight
Which one today? Picking my poison
Maybe I'll mix it, Maybe it'll fix it
It never works, but it feels like it's missing
A part of me, ya it's starting to bleed
Bleeding a rainfall
Down to my knees
I'm down for you, whatever you need
Whatever you see, I'm getting you 3
I'm falling apart, Take it before I leave
What do u want, I can't get it anymore
Sipping my poison now I've fallen on the floor
I can't even stand up or get out the door
My brain frown, getting sore
Inna loop, I am tore
I know that u see me I can't take it anymore
If you ask me one more time
I promise I'll be yours

Not much time left, don't wanna miss it
Mixing love potion, baby let's drink it

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of M. Walking on the Water's song Poison tell a story of a man who is attracted to a woman who is bad for him, like poison. The man explains that he knows the woman is trouble, but he can't help wanting her more. He describes her seductive appearance with her red lips, innocent pale blue eyes, and a ring-shaped tan line. The man admits to being aware of the dangerous path he is on, but he can't seem to resist the temptation of this toxic woman. When he visits her home, he notices the queen-shaped mattress, two sets of drawers, and another man's britches lying on the floor. Despite all the evidence of her cheater behavior, the man chooses to ignore it all and stay with the poisonous woman.

The lyrics of the song explore the idea of the power that love and attraction can hold over an individual, even when they know it's wrong. The analogy of poison represents the addictive nature of relationships that feel dangerous, and the behaviors that people engage in even when they know they shouldn't. The song is both a warning and an admission of guilt, as the man can't resist the temptation of this toxic woman.

Daaaaaaaaaaanke!
