M83 Lyrics

I'm slowly drifting to you
The stars and planets are calling me
A billion years away
From you
I'm on my way
I'm on
I'm on

Overall Meaning

"My Tears Are Becoming a Sea" is a song that explores the theme of distance and longing. The lyrics, "I'm slowly drifting to you," portray the idea of being pulled towards someone or something, despite the distance that separates them. The mention of the "stars and planets" adds to the grandeur of this idea, as if the forces of the universe are conspiring to bring the singer closer to their destination. This is further emphasized by the line "A billion years away from you," which speaks to the enormity of the distance between the two parties, and yet the singer is determined to make the journey.

The repetition of "I'm on" at the end of the song reflects a sense of determination and resolve. The singer is not deterred by the distance or the enormity of the task at hand. This determination is both admirable and melancholic, as it highlights the sense of loss and sadness that comes with being separated from someone or something that is deeply meaningful. The use of the ocean imagery in the title, "My Tears Are Becoming a Sea," further emphasizes this idea, as it speaks to the overwhelming and seemingly endless nature of grief and longing.

I think I have an explanation of the stuff happening in the video. I apologize in advance if there's some grammar errors, english ain't my first language.

I think the baby is one of the children from the Midnight City music video, I have three reasons:

1- The scene of the accident. You can see that the mother's belly starts to glow mid air and the car slowly starts to spin and levitate as it lands safely on the ground. That was the kid saving his parents.

2- The color of the baby's eyes, is similar or equal to that of the children of Midnight City.

3- In the part where the toy starts to float, I thought that was the father that died in the accident but as you can see he appears at the end when someone knocks on the door. So that was the baby .

Now, I have a theory of who might be knocking on the door at the end. I think it's the government or some sort of secret group looking for the baby.

So yeah, that's my explanation or theory. Have a great day people

You don't know how much this means to me, i always wondered what they would look like today. The album picture was always imagined as me and my sister in childhood and seeing them now today all grown up, it means a lot.

Not many people know that. M83 stands for Messier 83, a spiral galaxy in the constellation Hydra. M83 Group, a group of galaxies centered around Messier 83. When you know this fact then M83 music and videos make even more sense. I can’t stop thinking about universe, space and stars every time I hear M83 music. Its like you floating in space.

@goaway152
