His breakthrough came when he met Reggaeton producer, DJ Eric, and became part of the notorious group “La Industria.” Ceja started to appear in productions such as “Hip Hop Reggae Mix”, “Street Style 1-2”, and he was also a major part in “DJ Eric: Industry Volumes 3, 4, 5” which produced lots of memorable songs from MC Ceja like, "No Paciencia," "Jingle, Jangle" "So Good," "Shalalalon," among others.
In 1996, Ceja launched his first solo album called “Luz Solar”, selling over fifty thousand copies. "Confusión" was part of this production and was number 1 in the charts for at least 10 consecutive weeks.
In 1998, Ceja was able to produce another solo album titled, “Todo Ha Cambiado”, in which he composed and performed another hit single: "The Breaks (Te Invito al Party)". That same year, he also collaborated with Lito y Polaco in “Los Tres Mosqueteros” where together, they produced yet another hit song with a video release, called "Chicas Interesadas."
Ceja went back into the studio with DJ Eric and produced his third solo album, “Boricua's State of Mind”, which was released in 2001, with the single "Desnúdate" featuring Wisin & Yandel. He composed some more songs for collaborations, such as “La Conspiración Vol. 1”, “Pina Records: The Company” and “Pina Records: La Conspiración Vol 2”, with hits such as "Yeah, Yeah" and "Dile a El".
Ceja also demonstrated his lyrical talent in “Daddy Yankee’s: El Cartel II” and he has recorded with other well-known artists within the genre, such as Tempo, Ivy Queen, Arcangel, Voltio, Baby Rasta, Special Ed, BF Yaviah, Getto & Gastam, among others. Ceja also appears in various artist compilations such as “Majestic”, “La Mision 1 – 3”, “DJ Frank: Time to Kill,” and many others.
In 2005, he collaborated with Cuban Link in “Buddha’s Family 2: Desde la Prison.” He appeared in this same production with three songs, among them his single, "Mr. Conflicto". In 2008, he released his fourth solo album: “Luz Solar 2,” under his own record label, Get Low Records, LLC. The album sold more than 30 thousand copies independently and includes songs such as “Running,” “What’s My Name,” “Gangsta Love,” among others. He then produced his fifth solo album: “Mr. Conflicto,” and gave it away as a free download for his fans, as a show of appreciation in what has become the digital era of music.
In 2013, MC Ceja released “Como Antes,” which includes collaborations with artists like Ivy Queen, Voltio, Divino, Guelo Star, and more. With songs such as “Botelleo,” “Dime,” and “Lost In Space,” as part of its track list, “Como Antes” is a project worth listening to and pleasant to watch with various music video releases. MC Ceja Lyrics
Rey del malianteo
Si qui siempre en perreo
Vibra de los hitmen
Bajando en la calle deo
Sonamos gigantes
Who got the keys to my Beemer?
Baby, dale calor, gatita, dale calor
Brr stika ma-ma-mastica
Tú 'tás quedau pra-pra-practica
Tú mientras tanto ma-ma-mastica
Yo voy subiendo sin brincar cuica
Brr stika ma-ma-mastica
Tú 'tás quedau pra-pra-practica
Tú mientras tanto ma-ma-mastica
Yo voy subiendo sin brincar cuica
