Sirens
MURICA Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Of this one horse town
And do you feel it too?
Bout to crack, in attack
Time to double down Is it lost on you?
Are we falling through
A single strike is all it takes to set ablaze
Give me one more chance, just another dance
Got another mistake
So hear the sirens roar
Stop. The. Clocks
Better not, such a subtle sound
Such a point of view
In our haste, bitter taste
Better stick around
Better see it through
Was it all on you?
A single strike is all it takes to set ablaze
And as the minutes chase the hours of the days
Give me one more chance, just another dance
Got another mistake
So hear the sirens roar
A single strike is all it takes to set ablaze
And as the minutes chase the hours of the days
Give me one more chance, just another dance
Got another mistake
So hear the sirens roar
The lyrics of "Sirens" by MURICA evoke themes of fear, uncertainty, and desperation in a post-apocalyptic world. The opening lines set the scene of a small, isolated town where the singer feels trapped and overwhelmed. The sense of impending doom is reinforced by the line "bout to crack, in attack, time to double down," which suggests that a crisis is imminent and the singer is preparing for the worst.
The chorus of the song is repetitive but effective, with the phrase "a single strike is all it takes to set ablaze" emphasizing the fragility of life and society. The urgent plea for "just another chance" and "just another dance" suggest that the singer is consumed with regret and longing for a simpler time, while the "sirens roar" in the background serve as a haunting reminder of the danger lurking just beyond the town limits.
Overall, "Sirens" paints a bleak picture of a world on the brink of collapse, where time is running out and even the slightest misstep could have catastrophic consequences. The lyrics are poetic and thought-provoking, using powerful imagery and metaphors to convey a sense of urgency and unease.

Colin Furze vid brought a mate to this who then linked me knowing my taste in music and FUCK ME he knows me well. This is a cracking track. Vocals and style remind me of another band but heads blank at moment thanks to a few Stella. Honestly though.... Get some mash and gravy because this a banger.
Fan gained.
