Their career started when Raymond Ryan, a station manager of iFm, watched one of their gigs, and met up with a producer to produce their 2003 debut album, Soulful Acoustic, which has since been certified Platinum.
In 2005, M.Y.M.P. released their second album titled Beyond Acoustic and third album Versions through Ivory Music. The success of the two albums prompted the re-release of their second and third albums in atwo-disc set the same year. In 2006, they released their fourth album, New Horizon and DVD of their concert at the Music Museum. In 2008, M.Y.M.P. released their last album on Ivory Music, titled Now, as the group signed a deal with Star Records.

MYMP was formed in 2000 where Nina I think was the first member. But it was in 2003 where MYMP started to be popular in the Philippines having Juris as their vocalist. They had been known as a band who covers past hits in an acoustic style. Singles like "A little bit", "Tell Me Where It Hurts" were one of their popular cover hits. Especially For You" originally performed by Kylie Minogue in 1989 became one their successful cover singles. I was on my freshman in High School when MYMP started to be popular. Their cover songs were played in radios and televisions back then. I remember the time that my sister bought a physical copy of their album and I always borrow it every time I want to listen to their music. "Say you love me" was originally from Patti Austin and became too popular in Korea now. Juris left the group in 2009 and was replaced by Juliet Bahala in 2010. In 2019, Carmelia Ravanilia became the new vocalist of the group. I've never thought that MYMP are popular in Korea even IU performed their cover single "Say You Love Me".

My cousin have their complete albums and I love listening to it so much that I decided to burn all my MYMP fave songs in a disc. This song really holds a special bond between me and my mom. It popped into my head just now and I just HAD to listen to it.
