He was signed to Pittsburgh-based Rostrum Records and released his debut album Blue Slide Park on November 8, 2011, which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard 200 despite being released completely independently. He released five studio albums in his lifetime, which all peaked in the top 5, along with a posthumous album titled "Circles" with help from producer Jon Brion and Miller's family.
In 2013, Miller released his second studio album, "Watching Movies With the Sound Off". The album featured artists such as Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler, The Creator, Ab-Soul, and long-time friend ScHoolboy Q. The album took a more personal approach compared to his previous works.
In 2014, Miller released the 24-track mixtape "Faces". Considered by many to be one of his best works, he explores themes of drug use, employing and featuring collaborators of Mac from his previous album, including ScHoolboy Q and Earl Sweatshirt, but also sees new faces such as Rick Ross.
In 2015, Mac released his third studio album, "GO:OD AM", his first with new label Warner Records. The album featured a more energetic and vibrant theme than "Faces" and "Watching Movies With the Sound Off", reflecting a more optimistic, redemptive angle on his personal life, while maintaining elements of his introspective and thought-provoking style from earlier works.
In 2016, Miller released his fourth studio album, titled "The Divine Feminine". He explores themes of love and femininity, largely influenced by his relationship with Ariana Grande at the time and featuring appearances from the likes of Kendrick Lamar and Anderson Paak.
In August 2018, following major events in Miller's life, including his breakup with Ariana Grande, with Miller's drug addiction alleged to be a contributing factor, as well as a car crash incident in which McCormick was charged with a DUI, Miller released his fifth and final studio album during his lifetime titled "Swimming". Continuing the dive into his personal life, Miller explores his heartfelt struggles and grief in the past, but remains optimistic for the future. Swimming was nominated for Best Rap Album posthumously at the 2019 Grammy Awards.
Miller had struggled with substance abuse for a long time before his death. On September 7, 2018, he was found dead in his home in Los Angeles, California from an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol, only a little over a month after the release of "Swimming". He was only 26 years old. McCormick was buried in his hometown of Pittsburgh. Miller's passing was largely unexpected and had a large impact on the hip-hop community as a whole, with many paying their respects to Miller. On October 31, 2018, a tribute concert, titled "Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life", featured renowned artists and many longtime collaborators of Miller including Travis Scott, ScHoolboy Q, SZA, Chance the Rapper, and Earl Sweatshirt. The concert was a celebration of the late rapper's life and musical achievements, and all profits were donated to the Mac Miller Circles Fund, which provides young people from underprivileged backgrounds with opportunities to explore arts and music.
In January 2020, Miller's posthumous album titled "Circles", worked on in companionship with his album "Swimming", was announced on January 8 along with the single "Good News" and released later that month. Every track on the album was accompanied by a video of the same name, often with psychedelic imagery and images of Mac before his passing and throughout his life. With a more melancholic theme compared to his previous works, the album was well-received by fans and critics alike, renowned for the care placed in continuing Mac's artistic vision.

(Echo)
We could be together
But you scared to
I ain't gonna leave you
(Echo)
My peoples tell me that should, but I need you
And when I blow I hope you know I could have any girl I choose
But I know as time goes by
Baby all I'm gonna want is you
Girl I don't wanna share you
(Share You)
We could be together, but you scared to
I ain't gonna leave you
(Leave You)
My peoples tell me that should
But I need you
And when I blow I hope you know
I could have any girl I choose
But I know as time goes by
Baby all I'm gonna want is you
Look
They told me never fall in love
It never works out in your favor
You way too young
And right now that's just human nature
You think you love her
But you don't
Think you gon be with her for the rest of your life
You prolly won't
But on my side
Used to be a player now I'm sidelined
Connect like wi-fi
Mixed like tye-dye
She feelin cute wanna wear a lil lingerie
Voila
It ain't a sexual thing tho
We be stayin up
Smokin weed out her window
In love with me now
She never huntin me down
I'm tryna have it all
She ain't never comin around
It's like a never ending chase
Longer than a marathon
See the smile on her face
And I can't help but carry on
I know you love me don't lie
But you just gotta be mine cause...
Girl I don't wanna share you
(Share You)
We could be together, but you scared to
I ain't gonna leave you
(Leave You)
My peoples tell me that should
But I need you
And when I blow I hope you know
I could have any girl I choose
But I know as time goes by
Baby all I'm gonna want is you
I know this girl who want the world to call her own
Goin through these dudes like some minutes on a phone
And once she leave
She ain't comin back home
Hit the road forgettin about everybody she know
Miss
Hasn't called me in four days
But then we hit the bed and she obsessed with foreplay
Hey
She tryna be a lil player
Think she cute too
But I'ma yank her out the game like a loose tooth
When the boy blow
I know she worried
About all these girls approach me actin flirty
See that's the thang thing
I don't give a fuck
I want your heart so baby give it up
In this life girl
All we can do is try
Forget that dumb stuff
It's just you and I
We can travel round the world
Movin through the sky
Or we can stay right here
And you'll be mine
Girl I don't wanna share you
(Share You)
We could be together, but you scared to
I ain't gonna leave you
(Leave You)
My peoples tell me that should
But I need you
And when I blow I hope you know
I could have any girl I choose
But I know as time goes by
Baby all I'm gonna want is you
The lyrics to Mac Miller's song "All I Want Is You" are about the desire for a committed relationship with a girl who is hesitant to enter into one. The singer claims that although he could have any girl he chooses, he wants her in particular, despite the advice of his friends telling him to move on. He acknowledges that he's young and that love can be difficult, but he's confident that as time passes, all he will want is her. The second verse features a reference to a girl who is more concerned with playing the field than dedicating herself to one person. The singer voices his desire to be with her and build a life together, seeing her as his soulmate.
What is intriguing about the lyrics is the way they detail the emotional complexities of young love. On the one hand, the singer is aware of the risks of committing too early, recognizing that such love might not last forever. On the other hand, he is willing to take a chance on love because he feels that the girl he's with is worth the effort. The contrast between the first and second verse – the hesitancy of the singer and the confident declaration of love – highlights the ambivalent feelings that can come with relationships.

Like he's confident
I don't even think he can name all his mixtapes let alone his whole discography.
It's a good song dude, but he was still young when this was made and developed a better artistic spectrum .
Practice makes perfect. Maybe you're too simple minded to comprehend the complexities of a song like, 1 threw 8, or Angels . I'm using macadelic as a prime example of growth because prior to that we had blue slide park his debut album. And boy the change is theme is NIGHT AND DAY
