Machine Gun Kelly Lyrics

They told me to write a soundtrack for the kids who ain’t have shit
No problem, flashback me 2006
Broke ass piece, scrapin dust fell off
Dollar 50 cents,
Get out of school and go to work
Matter fact, fuck all this, I quit
I got a dream that we gon change the world soon
And one day get the fuck out of this bedroom
Made write a song for the girl who cries when she thinks of her past
To just press play I tell er smile and then she laughs, look at that
Yea, music makes the world go around
And the ones in search of freedom generates into a crowd
All it takes is one believer with the words that duce us to what’s real
And since my thoughts clear I guess that’s why I’m here, cheer
See my teachers told me go away to college
Abut then I tell you is you ain’t no guarantees if you’re a scholar
Even with they 10 degrees you could jobless with purple sand in yo pockets
So I say fuck my doctrines, rap to make mo money than these doctors yo

One day I’ll be too fly, drivin 3 girls in my 4 door
While these 4 J’s make a fellowship
A small waist bitch on photo
I fed all this year but bounced back like a pogo, Kells

And we just want the sun to turn into the moon
Sit back and hope that these December nights turn into June
See it started as a dream, that dream came true
Send a message to my city, tell em we’ll be home soon

And I’m like what we waitin round fo?
Found something to celebrate, now we on round 4
Ground flow? What’s the pass?
Now the sky is the limit, penthouse edition
Exhibit A, a bunch of young motherfuckers livin
I used to hustle to get it, used up all of my minutes
And hope someone of my ex’s tellin me she on the business
And heard bout my situation, now here’s a check for a million
But this is reality and charity don’t go to seniors
My clarity comes with painters of marijuana and splinters
And absentee in the ten and said all my highschool advanced
I just wasn’t fond of pretention when all I had was resentment
I started out as a freshman and graduated a henchman
I worked my way up the jimmy, worked my way up the totem
And those who hated on me was just sad and waved to scrotum
See life is a poker game, I got the hand now why I’m folding?
I’m king Midas, touch my future with this hand now that shit golden

One day I’ll be too fly, drivin 3 girls in my 4 door
While these 4 J’s make a fellowship
A small waist bitch on photo
I fed all this year but bounced back like a pogo, man I swear to God

And we just want the sun to turn into the moon
Sit back and hope that these December nights turn into June

See it started as a dream, that dream came true
Send a message to my city, tell em we’ll be home soon

I remember my first mgk show in 2015, I was so anxious to go. We waited in line all day. I was PRAYING he preformed this track. I fought my way to the front and waited. He finally played this track and not a lot people were singing it because at the time it wasn’t as noticed. I knew every fucking lyric. He came up to me as we sang every word together. And dapped me up and told slim that “that’s a real fan right there”. I went home as a 17 year old more motivated than ever and grateful I got to share that moment with him.

That's dope!

Tracks like these are why I know the game has beaten him tf up. 😔 His message was always so positive, and this dude lifted me out of a dark place in my life. I probably owe my life to MGK for getting me through that hell. Homeless shelters and bus stops were my friends for a couple of years.

Now he's a different person. Talking about codeine and dumb shit like every other rapper. I truly think if stayed in this lane of positive, uplifting music, he'd be just as far as he is now after selling out and going pop punk. I fucking miss the 100 Words And Running/Lace Up mixtape Kellz fr.

That’s awesome man. Great memory!
