Wow the whole neighborhood is coming out to get an eye on the newbies. That’s super weird. I wonder if they were the ones that left that rubber snake? Maybe you should set up some security cameras so you can get evidence if they trespass or do anything else. I’m glad the dogs ran up to the truck so they know you and Savanah aren’t unprotected.

Ugh regarding the annoying neighbors: anyway to put two posts down at the front of your drive and link a chain between them with a “no trespassing” sign attached? Its the cheapest way of saying “knock it off”. That’s on its way to be harassing on their part I feel.

idk, i'd watch out for those people coming on your property like that if i were you, if it's been them multiple times now. that seems kinda sus to me, especially with how many high quality dogs you have, etc... but i know it'd take a lunatic to try and do something, but still... you better sick them dogs on someone if someone gots some bad intentions, LOL. take care!

Batista is a beautiful boy with a loyal and loving temperament. Solid with his people but intolerant of being disrespected by another dog. That does not make him a behavior issue. It makes him a dominant dog as this breed was intended to be.

It's amazing how many people are confused between temperament & dominance.. there is a huge difference. And if you're considering a large protection breed, you should absolutely know the difference & if you can't distinguish the two, then you should probably consider a more docile breed. 🤷‍♀️

Rachel's seen as the alpha. The other dogs back her up when necessary. Likely, they learned a lot from Rachel's directions as they were growing. Blondie is an excellent alpha. Proportional responses when necessary. Not a Karen. She's all about stability.

We now know what's wrong with Velocity ("Velocity, what's wrong with you?"). She's got some Karen in her dna.

But seriously, it's almost like she doesn't understand typical dog social queues or how to moderate her instincts. In another video, she also doesn't seem too socially involved other than corrections for dominance.

I would definitely look into security cameras for the property the one I use is called hisseu it’s great and has an app you can watch the property while out to would be great for the kennels once you have the proper electric and fix them up better. I have the 8 channel one but they do make them larger and they make ones with PTZ which I have that for my front porch. Just don’t look right at what they are doing

Hey Rachel, I’m sending you, Savannah, and all the dogs my love. I absolutely LOVE the new brindle boy, he’s almost like a Battista Jr 😂. If you still haven’t come up with a name for him yet, I would recommend naming him “Moneo” (it means “to remind, warn, instruct or foretell”, and is an original form of the word “monster”). Really think that name will suit him as he really is a little monster. Hope everything goes well for you in the future!

Bastista is a great dog. There are dogs and breeds of dogs we prefer one on one with their owners or they like to be the alpha of a few females. People don’t rehome just for problems. I’ve seen dogs that weren’t as happy in one home flourish in another just because the environment suited them better. He’s just a lone soldier a rogue of sorts. He is an alpha in another alpha’s world. Loved cashmere! You need signs! Trespassers will be mauled. Cane Corso with a tire in his mouth

Very inappropriate that those people keep driving up to your property. They might be waiting for a chance to grab one of your pups. I'd put up a camera where they can see it, that might get them to stop. Next time they do it, walk up to them with your camera and call them out on it. I doubt they will come back after that, especially if you're filming.
You can also string up a chain across to block the way, just make sure you mark it with a sign.

I love it when the dogs and Savannah start running toward the Kennel’s to check on what the Eyetalian Labrador 😁 was barking at. When Savannah stopped running, Preacher got between her and whatever the threat was. They were all on point when the truck drove up…I’d love to have seen those peoples faces when Preacher & Madman approached…😂😂

People really need to understand that this breed is not easy, "watered-down" nor soft. They´re an Italian mastiff, what do you expect? It´s annoying that people still think that Battista has a temperament issue: he is sweet, goofy, protective, and has amazing capabilities!
I had a dream and a great name popped in my head for the newest member of the pack! I´ll try to remember and comment if I do!
Ps. Luna moth! :) I have a lot of fun facts about animals and insects, this particular moth is in fact nocturnal and its adult life is around 7-10 days old, so happy you got to see this beauty's short life in action

I really don't mean to be over dramatic but please be careful with those guys that keep coming up to your house. Once is curiosity after that there's something else going on. It could be totally legit dealing with the property next to yours but since they won't talk to you it's weird. Def get a good security system and make sure you and Savannah have a plan and know how to defend yourselves. I'd also think about open carrying while you guys are out working on your property too. Some day you might need protect yourselves and the dogs from a snake, the belly crawling or two legged kind, a bear, big cat, wild pig etc. Ya just never know..... An ounce of prevention and all that.

And @senzatempocanecorso you mentioned something in your videos well all of them to be exactly. It's blood lineage to be future alphas just like in wolf packs. But what's peculiar to be is the shock acknowledgement on both you and Savannah facing realizing(not finally realizing) but still realizing blood lineage does count.. But not always. I've seen in my 15 years breeding where outsiders become alphas of the current pack cause either pack has become too weak to raise a current blood related alpha or the other isnt or doesn't have enough maturity to lead it by themselves or with another member. Alphas are born with the gift not granted the position or they raised up to be one. You don't normally get the position without a fight

@100% Queen Nala Huhu 🙂 Nala, well it is a little bit hard to do assessment online. That I cannot do for you. I can point you towards some crucial issues.
The Bullmastiff is a great breed. I have helped to walk an English Mastiff during the last year, he was with the dog shelter in my city, he has a foster home now with the possibility for staying forever.
He is absolutely no dog that would be fit for any agility like occupation. Even if they have the right weight they should not jump much to preserve their joints. "My" boy loved to flop down were he was standing when it was hot or he needed time to catch his breath. Which takes us to the next topic. The breeder, you would need to find a good breeder, who tries to breed for health and temperament, which is no easy feat.
The most important point in my opinion is your living situation, you need to know if you are allowed to have a Bullmastiff in your building. If you rent, you need to find out. A house and garden IS ideal for such big dogs. They want to protect a property, a small apartment is definitivley not ideal for them. Not implying that you have a small apartment just saying, my home was not big enough for "my" puppy and I would like to share this experience with you.
For a first dog the Bullmastiff is a challenge. I do not say you can't do it, nevertheless I highly recommend that you try to find a breeder, a neighbour or shelter with these dogs to find out if you are comfortable handling them, as soon as possible.
If you take in a Bullmastiff puppy without that experience you are doing nothing good to yourself and the puppy.
Try to help to care for a Bullmastiff at least for three month, after that time you should know whether or not this breed is your happiness. 😃

@Kim Chi I will make sure to ask, that does make me think about how I know for a fact I want a bullmastiff dog as my first dog, one because it’s still a mastiff breed but it’s more calmer n has less energy. I’m still doing research but do you know anything that I should really focus on /research (like key important information to know) I’m trying to look up the health but I can’t find sources that go more in depth, I also don’t know at what age I should do certain activities with my bullmastiff. Ik I needa socialize the puppy but I’m trying to make sure I know more? So would you happen to know anything? I know what I’m looking for in a dog, I want a medium size or large size dog that has medium energy or low( I would go for high but me being a first time dog owner, even though I had a malionos I wanna make sure I get the right breed. I wanna do agility or tracking/obedience I don’t mind long haired-or short. They can be a protective breed which is one of the things I like about the mastiff breeds. I don’t care about color but everything else I want in my dog.

@100% Queen Nala Most of the time people do not see a real fight. Most conflicts are short skirmishes. Between female and female and male and male they sometimes fight to find out which one is "better"/"more dominant"/"is calling the shots", it is very rate, fortunately. If that happens they really want to erase the opponent. Thus the danger of serious damage and the risk of having two individuals that can not be kept together anymore, because the "grunge"/"conflict" was not settled.
The decision NOT to let the dogs decide is a very conscious one. The more individuals one has, uncut and from different gender the more possibilities for conflict arise. What Ms Rachel is doing, working with so many unaltered dogs actually is very, very rare. Some of the newer viewers just do not know it, they want to tell an expert how she should deal with her dogs, which is absurd. 😉

The fact that some people are confused when it comes to temperament and dominance is astounding. They might need to go back and watch some of Cashmere videos and see the difference between the two. I guess they think that all dogs can get along together when that is not true. Not even all humans can get along together. These are a tough breed and they don't take no for an answer which if they are a livestock guardian breed i would hope not. Just like with any dog you have to train them to be a certain way and then they can still make mistakes. I think people don't understand that and they think that it is just magic. Also maybe put up no trespassing signs so they know that someone lives their now. That would get on my nerve with people doing u-turns in my driveway. Like find somewhere else to do your u-turn. Great video.

The funniest line ever was people were outraged cause Cashmere was mistreating her babies i still laugh at that. I wonder how long it took luna to survive at a catterpiller to make it to become luna moth who only lives for 24 hours
