The group was named during the 11 August 1999 eclipse and their name literally means "Mad As The Sun".
The band released three moderately successful singles on the V2 label during 2000: "Don't You Worry" (UK #14), "Walking On Water" (UK #14) and "Feel Good" (UK #29). Don't You Worry was a considerable airplay hit, thanks in part to a selection of UK Garage mixes.
Their album, "The Way It Is", charted at a disappointing #67 in the October of 2000 and the band disbanded shortly after.
Feel Good
Madasun Lyrics

Heard the rain beating down outside
Fed up and lonely
They were playing on my mind
Took my umbrella
And I went walking down my street
Must have looked worried
(It'll be alright) and
Chorus
Don't it make you feel good
When the sun comes after the rain
Don't it make you feel good
When a chance you lost comes round again
When it doesn't feel right
Well there's something you should know
Behind every cloud there's a sun waiting to show
Don't it feel good
Strange things are happening
Every time you turn around
You get the feeling
You get up just to fall down
No use in complaining
You know it's true deep inside
But what happened to you
Anything that's worth having is worth the fight
You know it's worth the fight
Chorus
It's the trials you overcome
Is the fear you faced and won
The victories that make you grow strong
Chorus
And don't it make you feel good
When it doesn't feel right
Behind every cloud there's a sun waiting to show
Don't it feel good
The lyrics to Madasun's song "Feel Good" tell a story of overcoming hardships and finding hope in difficult times. The opening lines describe a rainy day, which can often bring feelings of sadness and loneliness. However, the singer takes action and goes for a walk, where a stranger offers some encouragement with the phrase "it'll be alright".
The chorus repeats the phrase "don't it make you feel good" several times, emphasizing the uplifting feeling of hope and optimism that comes after a period of struggle. The lyrics suggest that it's important to keep fighting for the things that we want, even when it seems like we've lost a chance or fallen down.
The second verse continues this theme of perseverance, acknowledging that life can be full of unexpected setbacks. However, the lyrics encourage us not to give up and to remember that anything worth having is worth fighting for. The bridge emphasizes the idea that it's the trials we overcome that make us stronger and better equipped to face future challenges.
Overall, the lyrics to "Feel Good" offer a message of hope and resilience in the face of adversity. The song encourages us to keep pushing forward, even when things seem bleak, and to always remember that there's a brighter day ahead.

How Madasun never blew up big time is a total mystery to me as they sang a lot of memorable songs which I really like, and though: Don't You orry is my favourite, they are all pretty much feel good songs which is always welcome in this day and age....

Their songs were very good and they had a quite diverse image. I wonder what happened, why they didn't take off. Fate works in mysterious ways
