From the beginning Madilyn displayed deep care and concern for others. By as early as age seven, she was using songwriting as a way to express the joys and sorrows she saw people go through in life.
Madilyn knew she was onto something when a woman with tears brimming in her eyes approached her after hearing one of her songs. The woman was not only touched by her performance but amazed that Madilyn had written the song herself at such a young age. Her writing has developed and continues to connect with her audience in a special way. In Madilyn’s own words, “I hope my songs are relatable and are able to touch peoples’ hearts. My goal is to make people feel something when they listen.”
And Then There Was YouTube. Madilyn’s desire to reach more people with her music hit a wall almost right away. After all she comes from a very tiny town in northern Wisconsin. YouTube was a great resource and extended her audience.
After posting a few music videos with a close friend, Madilyn courageously uploaded her first solo video in the Fall of 2009. Her submission won a cover contest held by fellow YouTuber Kata Hay. That success was all the inspiration Madilyn needed to start her own channel. In November of the same year the Madilyn Bailey channel was launched.

Done it all
Had my cake now
Diamonds, brilliant
In bel air now
Hot summer nights, mid july
When you and I were forever wild
The crazy days, city lights The way you’d play with me like a child
Will you still love me
When I’m no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I’ve got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will
I know you will
I know that you will
Will you still love me when I’m no longer beautiful?
I’ve seen the world, lit it up
As my stage now
Changeling angels in a new age now
Hot summer days, rock n roll
The way you play for me at your show
And all the ways I got to know
Your pretty face and electric soul
Will you still love me
When I’m no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I’ve got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will,
I know you will
I know that you will Will you still love me when I’m no longer beautiful?
Dear lord, when I get to heaven
Please let me bring my man
When he comes tell me that you’ll let him
Father tell me if you can
All that grace, all that body
All that face, makes me wanna party
He’s my sun, he makes me shine like diamonds
Will you still love me
When I’m no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I’ve got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will,
I know you will
I know that you will
Will you still love me when I’m no longer beautiful?
Will you still love me when I’m no longer beautiful?
Will you still love me when I’m no longer beautiful?
The song "Young and Beautiful" by Madilyn Bailey speaks of the singer looking back on her life and reflecting on the ups and downs she has experienced. Having seen the world and "done it all," she now questions whether her partner will still love her when she is no longer young and beautiful, when all she has left is her aching soul. The singer reminisces about the crazy days of her youth, the hot summer nights, and the city lights. She recalls how her partner used to play with her like a child and how they were once forever wild together.
The singer then talks about her present life, where she has become successful and is now living in Bel Air. She speaks of the hot summer days where her partner plays rock n roll shows and how she loves watching him perform. She talks about his pretty face and electric soul that she has come to know so well. Towards the end of the song, she asks God if she can bring her man with her to heaven and if He will let him in. She expresses how much he means to her, how he is her sun, and how he makes her shine like diamonds.
In summary, "Young and Beautiful" is about the fleeting nature of youth and beauty, and the singer's fear of losing her partner's love when she is no longer physically attractive. She understands that true love goes beyond superficial factors such as appearance and age, and she wants to believe that her partner will still love her for who she is, even when she has nothing left but her soul.
