Tarzan's Nuts
Madness Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Hey, you seen Jane?
No, man
Okay, I'll catch the train
Can you wait a long time?
No, we gotta catch a flight
Well, that's root, man
No, man it's a fruit
So give my stone, I'll save it for tonight

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Madness's song "Tarzan's Nuts" are a humorous conversation held between two individuals, perhaps friends or acquaintances. The first person asks if the other has seen Jane, referring to Tarzan's love interest in the popular story. When the response is negative, the singer decides to catch a train, but asks if the other person can wait a long time. Their response is that they have to catch a flight instead. The conversation takes a comical twist when the first person mistakes the word "route" for "fruit," and the other person corrects them. The exchange ends with the first person asking for a stone, which they plan to save for later use.

Overall, the lyrics to "Tarzan's Nuts" are playful and nonsensical. They seem to be deliberately silly, and are likely intended to make the listener laugh or smile. The tone is lighthearted and carefree, and it's easy to imagine the conversation between the two characters taking place in a relaxed and fun setting.

Ok I’ll catch the train
A train you’ll wait a long time
