Well…you probably know she’s not surrounded by an army of communicants the way she used to be. That was HER choice.
She’s also decided to stop giving concerts in stadiums and arenas. She said from now on she wanted human contacts.
It’s the reason why her latest MADAME X tour took so long : she picked up small theaters and therefore had to remain longer in each city.
The reason I’m telling you this is because the theater she chose to sing in in Paris is located at a 5 minute walking distance from where I live. Before she arrived, I would tell to myself every single day : “Wow ! During 10 days, Madonna will be 5 minutes away from my place !”.
Unfortunately, you probably heard the she had serious health issues back then (knee and hip badly injured).
She has to stop her tour on her second night in Paris. I will ALWAYS remember that night. It was last year, Feb 27… and I was there.
She arrived with a 2H30min delay. She started singing…and 10 minutes later she had to stop. It was not pain she was feeling : it was sheer agony.
And you know what : she was suffering so much she couldn’t stop crying.
She grabbed her mike and said : “The Madonna you’ve always known would have made jokes about this. I’m so sorry, but I just can’t”.
It was so moving to see her so close to us we could feel her.
We all stood up and gave her a 10 minute standing ovation. Many of us were actually crying as well. I will NEVER EVER forget that night.

Madame X is still so actual and is a really good version of Madonna as artist. People judge this album because they don’t really understand the message and the versatility of it.

Madonna has always been very straight forward with her videos and the message she conveys. There is no sugar coating. She puts it out there. This is why she is such an icon!!! Thank you Madonna for your courage and bravery to speak your mind through the artistry of music!!!!
