Ça a tiré, t'as fini paralysé
Si on perd, demain, j's'rais vengé
The song "NWR" by Maes is a French rap song in which the artist talks about his life in the streets and how he has managed to make a living despite the challenges he faced. In the first verse, he talks about his success in the drug trade and how it has helped him to move away from poverty. He also mentions how he has been arrested and placed in police custody and how he plans to spend the night in his car instead of going home. In the second verse, he talks about his past struggles and how he has been able to overcome them with the help of his gun and his money. He also mentions his tendency to dominate others and his capacity for violence.
The chorus of the song, "Tout est noir, ils ont voulu m'tirer dans l'fond, Sortez-moi du noir, ils ont voulu m'tirer dans l'fond" (Everything is black, they wanted to pull me down, get me out of the black, they wanted to pull me down), expresses the idea that the artist's success has been achieved despite the obstacles and challenges thrown at him and his determination to stay away from them. The song ends with the artist threatening to take revenge on his enemies with his weapons and his violent tendencies.
Overall, the song reflects the reality of life in the streets for many young people, where drug trade and violence are everyday realities. Maes's lyrics provide insight into his own experiences and the choices he has made in order to survive and succeed.
