The song "Khona" by Mafikizolo feat. Uhuru is a mix of Zulu and English language. The opening line, "ewu eee, ewu eee," is a shout of excitement and anticipation of the music that is about to play. The main theme of the song centers around love and the longing for a lost love. The first verse is an appeal to a lost lover to return ("Uthando lwami lakuphi na? Cela ulibuyisele"). The chorus, "khona," means "there" in Zulu and can be interpreted as the singer acknowledging the existence of the lost love somewhere out there.
The lyrics also feature a mix of Zulu and English words that express the longing for love and the desire to be reunited with one's beloved. The phrase "Za izaka su, Za izakasu" is not a clear translation, but it is believed to be a combination of Zulu and Swahili words that mean "this is it" or "the real deal." The song's beat is a mix of African influences and modern club music, creating a unique and energetic sound.
