Hago surcos en el suelo,
No me mires o me voy.
Tengo ganas de saltar
Y tardar más de cien años
De cien años en caer, en caer ...
Si me esperas yo estaré,
Si me esperas yo estaré ...
Cuatro tuercas de un motor
Son un mundo en un cuadrado,
No lo estires rómpelo.
Ir volando y estallar
Entre risas de un minuto,
El tiempo se paró ayer, ayer, ayer ...
Si me esperas yo estaré,
Si me esperas yo estaré,
Si me esperas yo estaré ...
Si me esperas yo estaré,
Si me esperas yo estaré,
Si me esperas yo estaré ...
Si me esperas yo estaré,
Si me esperas yo estaré,
Si me esperas yo estaré ...
The lyrics of Maga's song Un Mundo En Un Cuadrado speak of restlessness and a desire to escape from the constraints of everyday life. The repetition of the phrase "Si me esperas yo estaré" (If you wait for me, I'll be there) suggests a yearning for connection, while the lines "Indicando donde estoy, Hago surcos en el suelo, No me mires o me voy" (Indicating where I am, I make furrows in the ground, Don't look at me or I'll go) express a sense of being lost and searching for a place to belong.
The image of "Cuatro tuercas de un motor" (Four screws of a motor) being "un mundo en un cuadrado" (a world in a square) is a powerful metaphor for the limited spaces we occupy in our lives, and the need to break free from them. The lines "No lo estires rómpelo" (Don't stretch it, break it) suggest a desire to challenge the boundaries that confine us.
Overall, the lyrics of Un Mundo En Un Cuadrado are a poignant depiction of the human desire for connection and freedom, and the struggle we face to find our place in the world.
