1) Magnum is an English hard rock band. They were formed in Birmingham by Tony Clarkin (guitar, songwriter, RIP) and Bob Catley (vocals) in order to appear as the resident band at the Rum Runner nightclub in the city. Magnum have undergone several changes in personnel over the years; however, the core of Catley and Clarkin remain.
Magnum's most significant early success was Chase the Dragon in 1982, which reached number 17 in the UK Albums Chart. It included several songs that would become mainstays of the band's live set, notably "Soldier of the Line", "Sacred Hour" and "The Spirit". On a Storyteller's Night gave the band its breakthrough in Europe, and achieved a Gold certification in the United Kingdom. The band's 1986 album Vigilante represented a further move towards the mainstream before the band achieved their commercial peak in 1988 when they entered the UK Top Ten for the first time with the album Wings of Heaven, which reached number five and featured three Top 40 singles, "Days of No Trust", "Start Talking Love" and "It Must Have Been Love". It was followed by Goodnight L.A., which was produced by Keith Olsen and reached number nine in the UK Album Chart in 1990. It produced another Top 40 single for the band, "Rockin' Chair".
In 1995, Clarkin announced Magnum's split; however, Clarkin and Catley continued working together, now under the name Hard Rain, until 1999. Magnum reformed in 2001 and has enjoyed late-career commercial success. Their most recent album, The Monster Roars, was released in January 2022.

Just A Little Bit
Magnum Lyrics

Across the room
I was scared if I should speak
That I'd wake up and find I'd been asleep
You need to know
But you don't ask
Where's it leading to?
When I want to spend the night with you?
You're more than a friend
And I promise the night will never end
You know I can't get enough
Of your love, sweet love
Just a little bit ain't enough
Of your love, sweet, sweet love
I hear your voice
You're everywhere
I've been losing sleep
And it happens every time we get to meet
And though we talk
Still no one knows
We keep it on the shelf
'Cause I know you've got to leave with someone else
You're more than a friend
And I promise the night will never end
You know I can't get enough
Of your love, sweet love
Just a little bit ain't enough
Of your love, sweet love
You know I can't get enough
Of your love, sweet love
In between the smooth and the rough
Is your love, sweet love
Lost in time
I get caught out of place
That's the truth on the line
Don't think I can surrender with grace
You know I can't get enough
Of your love, sweet love
Just a little bit ain't enough
Of your love, sweet love
You know I can't get enough
Of your love, sweet love
In between the smooth and the rough
Is your love, sweet, sweet love
Magnum's song "Just A Little Bit" tells the story of a man who is deeply in love with a woman who he sees across the room. He is afraid to speak to her for fear of ruining the moment. He wants to spend the night with her, but he doesn't know where this will lead. He and the woman are more than friends, but they keep their relationship a secret because she is with someone else.
The lyrics also describe the man's struggle to move on from the woman. He hears her voice everywhere and loses sleep thinking about her. He feels lost and out of place without her. The chorus of the song emphasizes the man's desire for the woman's love, as he sings, "You know I can't get enough of your love, sweet love. Just a little bit ain't enough of your love, sweet, sweet love."
Overall, the song conveys a message of longing and yearning for love. The man is deeply in love with the woman, but he is unable to be with her because of her relationship with someone else.
