"Magos manages to create a new style of Latin scat. It is innovative but clearly jazz and when she does her improvisations off the composed melodies it is a mind-blowing experience." ~ Rudy Garcia, Miami Herald, 11/19/2005

Água
Magos Herrera Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
In Magos Herrera's song Agua, the lyrics depict the significance and beauty of water, which manifests in different forms and serves various purposes. The slow flow of water symbolizes the calmness and serenity that water maintains as it moves through the earth. It sings the praises of the underground water, known as sotavento, which provides life to plants and animals. The blue color of water representing purity and freshness, and the breeze that caresses the water as it flows is a metaphor for water's ability to breathe and bring life to the earth. The song also speaks of the ability of water to restore and rejuvenate time which can be synonymous with mental or emotional fatigue.
