Delfino was always more of a musician than an actress, and since the termination of Roswell, she has refocused herself on her music, releasing the critically acclaimed 2003 album The Sicks on her own label, Dripfeed, without radio or television airplay. She has received attention in France, through her duet with French chantuese RoBERT, titled "Le Prince Bleu D'Arthelius" in which she sings both in English and French.
Her sophomore album Tarte was released April 23, 2007 through her official website http://www.majandra.com/ and Amazon.com. It contains 11 tracks and was released through her own record company Red velvet Cake Records. There are samples of three songs on her official website and her MySpace.

Majandra Delfino Lyrics

We must've slept through half the ride
The other half had -- --
The view is beautiful outside (?)
Oh oh, what have we done today?
And will it help all of the other days?
And even though I never asked for something better
Couldn't help but feel there might be something more
You got a way that I could never get from no one
'Cuz you're someone that gets to me
And with or without cash (?) you keep me high
Careful what you say now
I just might be listening
Even when you're playing
Your words are so much to me
Oh oh, what have we done today?
And will it hurt all of the other days?
And even though I never asked for something better
Than you ever could give to me
Couldn't help but feel there might be something more
I say I'm leaving but I got nowhere to go
So in your arms I'll stay, 'til it's okay
Oh this story is so old
Oh oh, what have we done today?
And will it hurt all of the other days?
The song "North" by Majandra Delfino is about questioning the direction of one's life and wondering if there is something more out there. The first line, "How we made it so far, we must've slept through half the ride," suggests the feeling that life has gone by quickly and maybe not fully appreciated. The second line continues, "The other half had--," leaving the listener to interpret what may have happened during that time.
The chorus poses the ultimate question: "What have we done today?" and wonders if it will make a difference for future days. The repetition of "couldn't help but feel there might be something more" highlights the dissatisfaction and desire for something different. The lyrics also capture the feeling of being in a relationship and feeling fulfilled by the other person, but still wondering if there is more to life than just that.
The last stanza shows reluctance to leave the relationship knowing that there may not be anywhere else to go. The phrase "Oh this story is so old" might suggest a feeling of stagnation or repetitiveness. Overall, the song reflects on questioning one's choices and seeking more out of life while still appreciating the people and things that bring joy in the present.
