Bótalle caldo
Malandrómeda Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Alí estaba a familia toda
E racho coa festa toda nun vira-vira

Gústame a cumbia, gústame o baile [?]
Trae o sabor pero sabe a caldo
Non queres comelo pero vas empezando
As chavales están bonitas, os rapaces van elegantes
Esta noite está doente
Bótalle un baile, mételle o dente!

Logo foi a hora de xantar
Cheguei fino e comín coma un quino
Veña Tróspidos[?] na sobremesa
O bandullo pesa, o coco non pesa
Os compadres xa ′tán cos cacharros na man
E chamaron a ver que cona fago. Non dan respiro
E quen carallo quere respirar habendo sede?
Deixa que enrede
Roendo para o pase das once
Non queda moito tempo pra que tronce
Haiche lúa pra (...) [?]
Guerra de gin-tonics con chupitos de whisky
Ando rabudo como un peliqueiro
Traio a misión dun super guerreiro

Baila tacón, despois a punta
A festa rebenta cunha de Rocío Durcal
Quero Ana Kiro e ritmo de pandeiro
Antes de que remate durmindo nun roleiro

Se queres facelo, amiga, faino
Gústame a cumbia, gústame o baino [?]
Trae o sabor pero sabe a caldo
Non ques comelo pero vas empezando
As chavales están bonitas, os rapaces van elegantes
Esta noite está doente
Bótalle un baile, mételle o dente!

Se queres facelo, amiga, faino
Faino, faino, faino, faino
Gústame a cumbia, gústame o baino [?]
Baino, baino, baino, baino
Trae o sabor pero sabe a caldo
Caldo, caldo, caldo, caldo

Non ques comelo pero vas empezando
Bótalle un baile, mételle o dente!

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Malandrómeda's song "Bótalle caldo" describe a festive, celebratory atmosphere as the singer and their family gather for a meal and drinks. The song begins with the singer arriving just in time for the vermouth, where the family has been waiting for over an hour. They exchange greetings, and the drinks keep flowing as they dance to pasodoble and Shakira. The singer throws pieces of food to their aunts, and the party continues with cumbia and dancing, despite the fact that the food may taste like broth. As the night progresses, the singer becomes more intoxicated, but they continue to dance and enjoy the company of their family.

The lyrics paint a vivid picture of a joyous celebration with plenty of food, drink, and dancing. The use of specific cultural references, such as the pasodoble and cumbia, adds to the authenticity of the scene. The repetition of the phrase "Bótalle un baile, mételle o dente!" (Throw a dance, sink your teeth into it!) emphasizes the importance of enjoying the moment and fully experiencing the celebration. Overall, the song conveys a sense of community and the joy that comes with spending time with loved ones.
