If you want to keep your innocence
You should answer your phone
If you really want to keep your friends
I look up at the sky
And I think about the way I look
But it isn't that deceiving
When I think about the choice I took
We try and we try and we try and
We end up alone
I miss myself
We die then we die then we die and
We turn into bones
I miss myself
We try and we try and we try and
We end up alone
I miss myself
We die then we die then we die and
We turn into bones
I miss myself
Oh, what am I, am I, am I
Like a miracle falling, fall down
Oh, what am I, am I, am I
Like a miracle falling, fall down
The song "A Room in the Crowd" by Maldito begins with the lyrics "Leave your guns at home, if you want to keep your innocence". This line is a statement about the importance of being accountable for our actions and being responsible for the consequences. It is a suggestion that we should put down our weapons- literal or metaphorical- and approach situations with a clear and open mind. The second line, "You should answer your phone if you really want to keep your friends" has a more straightforward meaning- that if we want to maintain our relationships, we should be responsive and communicative.
The following lines, "I look up at the sky and I think about the way I look, but it isn't that deceiving when I think about the choice I took" delve deeper into the theme of introspection. The singer is reflecting on their own self-image and how it relates to their choices. This line implies that the singer is comfortable with their decisions and that there is no dissonance between their internal and external selves. The repeated line "We try and we try and we try and, we end up alone. I miss myself" speaks to the feeling of loneliness that can come from putting effort into something that doesn't work out. The final lines "Oh, what am I, am I, am I, like a miracle falling, fall down" are sung with a longing and despairing tone. This suggests that the singer is searching for some sort of meaning or purpose, but feels like they are unable to find it.
Overall, "A Room in the Crowd" is a song that explores themes of self-reflection and introspection. The lyrics suggest that the key to a fulfilling life is to be accountable for our actions and to maintain meaningful relationships with others. The final lines of the song convey a sense of futility and longing, indicating that the singer is still searching for their place in the world.

My body is made of boiling water
that keeps me from starting storms
These mountains are covered in a powder
that keeps me from feeling warm
Keep me alive, make me cold
Carve me up, and I will shine
Kepp me alive, make me cold
Carve me up, and I will shine
Your body is made of ice inside
gets hard just to see your heart
Your brain is my favorite place to hide
it's broken in seperate parts
Keep me alive, make me cold, carve me up, and I will shine
Keep me alive, make me cold, carve me up, and I will shine
Keep me alive, make me cold, carve me up, and i will shine
Keep me alive, make me cold, carve me up, and I will shine
Keep me alive, make me cold, carve me up, and I will shine
Keep me alive,
