Tormenta
Malena Muyala Lyrics

Perdido en la tormenta
De mi noche interminable,
¡Dios! busco tu nombre...
No quiero que tu rayo
Me enceguezca entre el horror,
Porque preciso luz
Para seguir...
No sirve para vivir?
Yo siento que mi fe se tambalea,
Que la gente mala, vive
¡Dios! mejor que yo...
Si la vida es el infierno
Y el honrao vive entre lágrimas,
¿Cuál es el bien...
Del que lucha en nombre tuyo,
Limpio, puro?... ¿para qué?...
Si hoy la infamia da el sendero
Y el amor mata en tu nombre,
¡Dios!, lo que has besao...
El seguirte es dar ventaja
Y el amarte sucumbir al mal.
No quiero abandonarte, yo,
Demuestra una vez sola
Que el traidor no vive impune,
¡Dios! para besarte...
Enséñame una flor
Que haya nacido
Del esfuerzo de seguirte,
¡Dios! Para no odiar:
Al mundo que me desprecia,
Porque no aprendo a robar...
Y entonces de rodillas,
Hecho sangre en los guijarros
Moriré con vos, ¡feliz, Señor!
The lyrics of Malena Muyala's song "Tormenta" express the feelings of despair, loss, and confusion of an individual who feels lost in the midst of a storm. The song starts with the singer howling amidst lightning strikes, lost in her interminable night, seeking the name of God. The singer fears being blinded by the horror of the storm and the power of the lightning. She fears losing her faith and her beliefs in God's teachings, which she learned from His hand.
The singer questions whether her faith is useful in living her life, and why bad people seem to have a better life than her. She wonders what goodness it brings to fight and stay pure in God's name when infamy is the path to follow and love can kill in His name. Still, she doesn't want to abandon the idea of God and seeks a sign that could prove her belief in a just God. She seeks to understand what it takes to follow God, striving for goodness, and not hate the world that despises her but to instead respect the flowers that blossomed in the effort to follow God. In the end, she surrenders and wishes to die on her knees with Him, shed her blood on the pebbles, and be happy with her Lord.
The song highlights the individual struggles with faith, belief, and despair while questioning the role of God in human suffering. The lyrics encourage listeners to question their faith and their relationship with God and provide them with the strength and hope to continue to believe in goodness in the face of suffering.

¡Aullando entre relámpagos,
Howling amidst lightning,
Perdido en la tormenta
Lost in the storm
De mi noche interminable,
In my never-ending night,
¡Dios! busco tu nombre...
God! I search for your name...
No quiero que tu rayo
I don't want your lightning
Me enceguezca entre el horror,
To blind me amidst the horror
Porque preciso luz
Because I need light
Para seguir...
To keep going...
¿Lo que aprendí de tu mano
What I learned from your hand
No sirve para vivir?
Is it not good enough for living?
Yo siento que mi fe se tambalea,
I feel like my faith is wavering,
Que la gente mala, vive
That bad people live
¡Dios! mejor que yo...
God! better than me...
Si la vida es el infierno
If life is hell
Y el honrao vive entre lágrimas,
And the honorable live amidst tears
¿Cuál es el bien...
What is the good...
Del que lucha en nombre tuyo,
Of the one who fights in your name
Limpio, puro?... ¿para qué?...
Clean, pure?... for what?...
Si hoy la infamia da el sendero

El seguirte es dar ventaja
To follow you is to give advantage
Y el amarte sucumbir al mal.
And to love you is to succumb to evil.
No quiero abandonarte, yo,
I don't want to abandon you, no,
Demuestra una vez sola
Show me just once
Que el traidor no vive impune,
That the traitor doesn't live unpunished,
¡Dios! para besarte...
God! to kiss you...
Enséñame una flor
Show me a flower
Que haya nacido
That has been born
Del esfuerzo de seguirte,
From the effort of following you,
¡Dios! Para no odiar:
God! To not hate:
Al mundo que me desprecia,
The world that despises me,
Porque no aprendo a robar...
Because I don't learn to steal...
Y entonces de rodillas,
And then on my knees,
Hecho sangre en los guijarros
Made blood on the pebbles
Moriré con vos, ¡feliz, Señor!
I will die with you, happy, Lord!
