These three violent acts linger in the mind and leave an impression.

Times are changing...Yeah!
The world and society are constantly evolving and transforming.

No more rumors they're wars going on
In the present, wars are not just rumors, they are realities.

Twisted doctors, scientist making clones
The field of science and medicine has taken a questionable turn with things like cloning.

Economy got some backs against the wall
The current economic situation has put some people in unfavorable positions.

People dying for no reason at all
People are passing away for unknown and unjust reasons.

People of God don't even read their Bibles
Some religious people do not even take the time to read their holy book or follow its teachings.

There's no faith no trust in the word...
The people mentioned above have no faith or belief in the words of their holy book.

But everybody seems to be quoting scripture...
Ironically, many people are reciting quotes from the same holy book they do not follow or read.

It's just another word they heard
These quotes and religious language have become idioms with no true significance to the individual.

Pastors leaving pulpits cause they're tired
Religious leaders leaving their positions due to exhaustion.

It's all based on how we feel
The state of religiousness and faith is based solely on individual feelings or emotions.

Overheard two people speaking the other day
A past conversation was overheard by the singer.

One said that God's not real but...
One of the artists questioned the existence of God.

I'm just one ah them ole people who's got to hold on
The artist is one of the many people who needs to hold on to their faith and beliefs.

Sometimes I can't see but I still believe

Different people have varying interpretations and beliefs in regards to a higher power.
